Then they’re going to be inconveniencing themselves whilst everyone around them stands?

Knowing them kind of fans they'd absolutely do that.

It's not like they're sitting in a family enclosure at an old stadium and being forced into the Kop. It's virtually the same experience in the whole stadium.

These kind of fans are an absolute dream for Susan Whelan and co.

Imagine choosing to be in a "kop" and wanting to sit and moan all game about anyone who dares to try and start an atmosphere.

We should have done way more as a fanbase to ensure we had an area bigger than L1 was when we moved to Filbert Way. Although the club have done pretty much everything within their power to ensure we don't have a chance of creating anything decent.

This makes no difference as things stand.

The entire area in SK1 stand already. What difference does putting a but of scaffolding up make In terms of atmosphere?

Nothing, it's not being introduced to help the atmosphere.

I'm surprised that UFS are so positive tbh.

It doesn't expand the section and just allows people who already stand to stay where they are.

20 rows of the section already offer **** all vocally

The new standing area for Sk1 is actually bigger than the current singing/standing section. It will include more of SK1 and some of G1 too

They've said they're going to stand, but I can't see them (or anyone wanting to do it for Plymouth at home on a weeknight for example).  I think a factor is that you get to know the people around you so they don't want to get split up. I doubt it'll have the desired effect overall.

Why would anyone not want to stand if they are in a standing area? I get they may be inconvenienced having to move but your view ain’t changed that much by moving a few rows up down left or right. Safe standing should be standing whether it’s Plymouth on a weeknight as you say or in a Kettering town friendly lol its like the people don’t want to move out the section but they don’t like the drum. Make life easier for yourself instead of being dedicated to a bit of plastic you may have sat on for a few years.. I just can’t understand this im afraid

Not bothering as I'm already in a safe standing area but don't want to risk moving to an inferior area. I'd like to have a choice of where I move to.

As soon as this ballot period ends you can relocate to anywhere in the stadium providing there is space.

Perhaps worth remembering this as I know over the two seasons there have been mixed messages on the phones around relocations and availability in the section. People have been told there is no seats and then others have been told different.

I can see some maybe not getting a spot they want in the ballot so not moving pre the season starting or some maybe staying in and then finding that standing is not for them so wanting to move out. Both in and out parties should remember that if where they are is not for them that they can try again to move outside of the relocation window.

I want to move into safe standing as a three - so we enter the ballot and highlight as a group - it says you need to get permission from the other season ticket holders within your group......how do you do this? FAQ doesn't go into detail.

EDIT: Okay the permission isn't any active sign - you just apply as a group in the ballot?

My current ST is in SK1, which is changing into standing section (which is what I want)

Just checking, I’m ok to just leave it to renew automatically like normal?

Yeah correct.

Group of six of us who are just a few rows in front of the safe standing.

1. If we stay where we are, it's likely that they'll clamp down on standing outside of the safe standing isn't it?

2. I know the limit for the ballot is 4. If we were to apply as a 4 and a 2 and were both successful, would we be able to move as a six?

Will probably impact whether we renew or not.

Cheers!

Not sure on the second point, might be worth emailing Jim or Vish or both.

The first point though would be a categorical yes, part of the licence to operate standing areas will be to minimise or eradicate completely standing outside those areas. I think a good number will fall foul to this the first few games next season, the front rows of L1 being the most obvious.

Because I'd say some of them are probably 60-70 years old, that's why. But they don't want to give up their seat as they know the people around them. I think the novelty of standing will wear off pretty soon in the championship .

Are they likely to label the seats with an exclamation ️ or something along the lines of marking out the safe standing sections when you can choose your seat?

It is likely worth emailing Jim on that.
