Looks like we have our first signing with Matthew Dennis from Carlisle.

 

As with most signings at this level, I don't know much about him. I do see that he's a forward, doesn't score a lot and has had injury troubles, so he should be perfect.

Whatever they wanna call it, it's not exactly an inspiring choice.

Sad to hear we've sold Alex Bass to Peterborough.

 

Best keeper we've had in a long time and probably top 3 in L2.

 

Really not liking how things are shaping up, so far.

Barnsley have completed the signing of former Sheffield United striker David McGoldrick on a one-year deal.
The veteran frontman, 37, and Bramall Lane legend left League Two outfit Notts County at the end of last season after rejecting fresh terms.

 

Last term, he was Notts' second highest scorer with 17 goals as the Magpies finished sixth in the table, taking his tally to 30 goals in 76 appearances since he returned to his boyhood club for a third spell in the summer of 2023.

Following a medical incident in the crowd, which involved two air ambulances landing on the pitch, today's kick-off has been delayed until 4pm.

 

Best wishes to the Notts fan who was taken away in Newport.

I guess a point away isn't the worst start.

 

Played decently, with still the emphasis on possession, but seemed to be a bit more attack minded than last season under Maynard.

 

Obviously we miss Jatta and look forward to his return. Doesn't look like we have a lot of scoring options otherwise.

 

Hope the fan that was transported away is okay.

Just nice to have competitive footy back at any level, this summer has been the longest I can remember thanks to our board sleeping through most of it.

 

Can't read too much into opening day, but Huddersfield seem to have put down an early marker, 3-0 over Orient is not to be sniffed at.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Tyrese Hall has joined us on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old, who can play in a number of midfield roles, is one of the Premier League outfit’s most highly-rated youngsters and has represented England at Under 19s level.

 

Hopefully this works out as well as our Spurs loanee in the midfield from last season :fc:

Awful... im not keen on what club remove the club name from the badge. Reminds of one the badges from PES game

Not sure what's going on with my Pies Player, but I was unable to watch(or even listen) to our match today against Salford.

 

Anyway...we lost.

Bit of a bogey team it seems ?

 

Blackpool let in 7 goals in 2 games .


Work to do then on the defence ?
