Tommy Neale looked good again. Some lovely turns and good ball retention.

Overall it was a very frustrating game. Loads of balls over the top that were overhit and went out of play and therefore attacking moves tended to break down quite quickly.

I thought Amartey was our best player. Very physical and covered ground well.

I like the look of Neale and Donnelly got stuck in too, looked quite physical.

Evans struggled against their LB. Good pass for the assist but he looked slow I thought.

Briggs whilst didn’t do anything outstanding was good again. Looks technically sound and decent ball carrier. Hopefully get a loan in January.

If, like me, you watched the game on YouTube then an important note to make is that the commentator had the shirt numbers incorrectly reversed for Amartey and Gray. The giant centre half that won everything in the air and looks comfortable on the ball is Kevon Gray (and not Amartey as the commentator thought).

That’s the second time in a week I’ve seen Gray play for the U21s as I was also at the Juventus game. He has impressed me on both occasions. He’s still only 18 and so looks to have a very bright future if he can keep his feet on the ground.

Thanks for clearing that up! I did think to myself that Amartey looked a lot taller than I remembered lol

Might struggle to win headers if he does that?

No worries!

I also agree re Neale. Gets about the pitch and really good in tight spaces. For a small lad he can put his foot in as well when needed. Another one to watch.

You’re right on Briggs too. Needs a loan in January to showcase his abilities.

I was looking forward to seeing Carr again but he wasn’t in the squad last night. This lad could be another Barnes. Only 17.

Think Carr is meant to be fairly rapid isn’t he? Seem to remember seeing a clip of him.

Briggs to me looks like he’s outgrown u21s football (realise last night was against men)

U21s at home to Spurs tonight. Not being streamed as usual.

You can pay 45 quid and sign up to spurs play for a season to watch it 😂😂😂

Absolutely ridiculous that we don’t even get updates, let alone being able to actually watch it

You would think with how good the academy at the club is currently that they would be doing all they can to “profit” from the good work in terms of attention from Leicester fans

Yet all we will get is a small article about the game a few days after

Absolutely.

Spurs are broadcasting this, so it wouldn't take too much effort at all with cameras already there.
