Doing everything wrong at the moment in the women’s game.

Daft kick off times, removing the teams in Europe from the league cup, now this FA Cup seeding and last 32 path.

I don’t mind the experimenting, but the logic behind the choices they make is purely for the benefit of the bigger clubs and the lionesses.

I am looking forward to there being more teams in the WSL and therefore being more games. The Euro qualified teams moan there's too many games, whilst others have to just get on with the bare minimum.

Disgraceful, the doncaster stuff, the man utd not having to work their way up the leagues, this seeding, we seeing the true "wants" come out in the womens game, they think having titan showdown matches is more important than sporting fairness.

As I've said they had the chance to set up a level playing field structure but those pushing for it just went for the potential ££££s in creating a clone of the PL I suspect there was also a social aim of proving the women can be as successful as the men. Even now with their continuing comparison with the men's game re trophies (football's come home) and England attendances.

I'm sure the women's game could have proven as popular as the men's if allowed to grow naturally and equally but I have no more than a passing interest in watching them as the 6 take over the women's game

This proposal for seeding the FA Cup is surely a test for the men's game? A crap idea that again favours the chosen few. Hope it never gets off the ground.

I’m confident it won’t happen.  The story came out because stakeholders (horrible word to use around sport) were sent a survey last week.  When I completed mine I was strongly in opposition to the seeding idea and from reports it seems most other respondents were the same.

The other main changes were to do the draws all the way to the final at the same time as the last 32 draw, and to play that round, the round of 16 and the quarter finals every other weekend.  The idea being to create a better narrative and momentum.  My feedback on that was that it wouldn’t make much difference due to most games being on TNT anyway and therefore out of sight for most people.

Ref being f’ing anal about ball placement on our 2 corners despite the ball over the line yet hasn’t paid any attention to man u’s 5 or 6 🤷‍♂️

We've not been too bad really. Haven't taken our chances as usual.

It's as the game goes on and we start pushing, we will start leaving gaps and then will try and take us apart if we're not careful.

2-0 in the end looked a bit of a foul in the build up from where I was sitting but maybe wrong . Second half a bit better than the first

Can't score and conceding 2 minimum a game is going to get you many points.

Feel like we are going no where.

Was never getting an result against Man U who are the inform team currently. Takeaways are we let it to 1 for so long, their 2nd was always going to come only because we pushed to try and nic a point.

Just looking at them as individual players they are so far behind the top teams and will sit in the bottom 3 every season for a while yet.

No current talented player in woman’s football will join anyone outside the top 4, after that wages will dictate where they go before those bottom 3 teams get a look in.

Best we can hope for currently is to pick up a few players on their way down/out like Williams & Neville who can create a culture which can be built on.

Realistic expectations for fans is to finish 10th and over the next few seasons 9th then 8th, I think anyone thinking this team will push for cups and wins against the top 4, 5 & 6th placed clubs are setting themselves up to be disappointed sadly.

Watched the game, manager hasn’t really got a clue. 7 minutes to go and we have throw in opportunities in their half, and it gets thrown back 20 yards into our own.

Play off game will be entertaining at least!

There's positives to take out of that game, we could have easily been demolished, but it was a decent performance. The inability to take our chances harms us every time.

We should have had a penalty and their 2nd should have been a foul in the lead up. Certainly that's how both looked from the stands.

Same again next weekend. I'd like to see mouchon given a more extended run out.

The play off will be interesting whoever ends up in it.  On the one hand the top division team should be better player for player, but they will have had a poor season and be low on confidence whereas the 3rd placed WSL2 side will have had a decent season and be feeling more positive.  The different mindset between trying to gain promotion and trying not to be relegated will be a factor too.

Something I'd noticed on the teamsheet and can't see that anyone else mentioned it... There was a player called Walne on the bench... Is this an academy player? She didn’t look that young.

Have I missed something?

You'd think the law of averages would mean they'd get one thing correct.

We don’t play WH again but have Liverpool in March, I don’t see us coming off the bottom now.

The game in hand is v Arsenal so we can forget that.
