davieG Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 Loans that is - OS Wilcox Loan Extended Jason Wilcox will remain on loan with League One side Blackpool for a further month. The 34-year-old winger has made four starts since joining the Tangerines last month. And caretaker manager Simon Grayson has taken the option to secure the services of the former England international into the New Year. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Conrad Logan has joined Boston United on loan for a seven-day period. His spell will run until December 31 2005. Does that just leave us with Rab?

I read elsewhere that Wesolowski is the only player not available for selection.

davieG Posted 23 December 2005 Author Posted 23 December 2005 Source Cheers Steven, not that we need another goalkeeper, they don't even make the bench these days
Louise Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 Cisak and Pentney are around too, as much first team experience as Logan
Foxes_Wizard_Striker Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 I thought it was great news as Logan finally get his chance to prove himself even if it is not best of time for him to go with our slighty injury criisis with goalkeepers
Anish Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 But whats the point of a 7 day loan? Yep, it does seem strange. As for Wilcox, they can keep him til the end of the season.
Foxes_Wizard_Striker Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 But whats the point of a 7 day loan? as cover for hetic 4 games in 8 days christmas period I guess
Gamesmaster Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 Loans that is phew, glad you made that clear. for a minute i thought are boys were getting weaker than they already are
Gamesmaster Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 I read elsewhere that Wesolowski is the only player not available for selection. is morris fit too?
Polyphonic Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 is morris fit too? he completed 30mins against Boston Utd in a closed door friendly .... So by now I would think not
Bert Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 The main thing is Wilcox is getting games (he does need the practice) and Logan is getting some experience.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 But whats the point of a 7 day loan? The Logan loan sounds a litle bit like what we did with Porter. Let him have a look at the loaning club and let the loaning club have a look at him. If they like the look of him then they may ask to take him on loan for a bit longer.

filbertway Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 Basically a trial then Yeh, but he's alloweed to play
Smiley Tom Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 The loan is only for 7 days as football league clubs aren't allowed loans after November 21st until the transfer window opens except in emergency situations for goalkeepers when they are allowed 2 (I think) loans of a maximum of 7 days.
HUUUUUUUUUUME Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 they can keep wilcox hes sh it whats happening with gilbert he still on loan or back at leicester??
Scow Posted 23 December 2005 Posted 23 December 2005 Bloody great Christmas present for Blackpool. Tommy Wright will be pleased as well. All that service from the left, he can't go wrong.

And how is this an emergency situation?
Louise Posted 24 December 2005 Posted 24 December 2005 And how is this an emergency situation? One of their goalies is injured and the other has been recalled by their club.
cisono Posted 24 December 2005 Posted 24 December 2005 One of their goalies is injured and the other has been recalled by their club. Hmm ok I guess this would qualify as such a situation then!
