Cricket scores on rivals until you manage to master it.

You've essentially got to NOT control your defence as opposed to previous games where the AI does a lot of it for you.

 

Player switching is key. Try to use your CDMs for all the leg work and tracking back.

 

The minute you take control of a CB, your whole defence goes wibble and they'll bang a through ball and its a certain goal. Rinse & repeat.

 

Do not take control of your CB's and use all your midfielders, and even strikers if needed, to track back and do the graft.

 

Only use your CB's if its last resort or your sure you can get the tackle in.

In typical Fifa / FC fashion, the games riddled with issues though.

I’m sure only a few years ago it wasn’t that complicated to play it was just something you could put on and not think to hard about playing 

now you go online and it’s just not really that fun even if you win it feels like hard work because everyone just takes it to serious. I’m not great at it but used to be able to get a decent run every week on rivals to get rewards I need and be done quite quickly but I have played a few games over the last few days online and just had to quit after about 20 mins it’s just not worth it once your 2 or 3 down .

at least a few years ago you would get rewards eventually as you used to get points even for a loss , it would take a bit longer but would make it worth finishing the game at least .

Totally agree.

 

The games are rewarding when you win, but the games aren't enjoyable in the slightest. 

 

Just feels the ultimate team side of things is now focused on the sweats that buy coins and play 24/7 and just use skill moves and known bugs like if you do a through ball at a certain time it will always come off, or if you shoot from a certain angle it will always come off.

 

A bit like a couple of years ago when you just pass to a fast winger, wait for the keeper to automatically come out and then square it to an open goal.

 

Ultimate team has been taken away from the casual gamer in my opinion.

There is just so many players that spend all their time playing it to a level where it’s not fun to be at like you say it’s not really as fun for the casual player anymore. I do enjoy squad battles and rush is fine if you can get players that actually want to play it and not just stand there and make it even harder for you. 
with the rewards as well it’s a bit crap doing the season pass for loads of crappy tifos and stuff but then you can buy the premium one to get better rewards along the way . I don’t want ti spend 3 weeks trying to get rewards and end up with 15 tifos I’m never going to use 😂

I've returned to football games after a few years in the wilderness (PES was my go-to game until the abomination that is eFootball).
 

I need some help with difficulty levels. I'm just playing a Championship season through with Leicester on 'authentic'. I started on World Class but my record after 8 games was won 1, drawn 2, lost 5. Some of those included really heavy defeats and the games just require too much concentration.

 

For game 9 against Swansea, I turned the difficulty down to Professional. No word of a lie, I was winning the game 7-0. Pretty much every goal I scored was a through ball or a one-two with the striker who would run away from the high-lined defence and then I could just do a simple sideways pass for another play to literally run into an empty net. I quit the game on 85 and changed the difficulty back to World Class. I played the game again (exactly the same teams etc) and promptly lost 3-0.

 

It's just a completely different game on professional vs world class. On professional it is far too easy to run away from defenders and literally every time you get the ball you're able to run through and have a 1 on 1 (this is why I disliked Fifa of old). On World Class it is much more satisfying as you really have to build up your play but I still find it too hard to break defences down whilst also keeping the ball out of my own net.

 

I'm in the position where playing on professional is a waste of time but I also don't have the time to be grinding out results on world class.

 

I haven't experimented with sliders or anything. Does anybody have any suggestions?

The defending is difficult, defenders have the manoeuvrability and speed of a container ship, Midfielders are none existent and constantly go out of position and strikers shooting is absymal.

 

So far, its making for a fantastically authentic Leicester City career mode.

World Tour Silvers is a grind but I like it. Wasn't going to bother but when I realised you only have to complete 1 out of 2 sections why not give it a go.

Just cutting my losses on this one and deleting.

 

Brought the ultimate edition so feels like a waste of money but it generally is the only game i have ever played where i want to put the controller through the television.

 

Not to mention, the game is horrendous. Just the same sh1t game churned out annually.

 

Got some decent players too which also seems a waste. If anyone knows a way of me sending them the players, feel free!

That's basically my thoughts from last year's game and why I didn't bother this year.

No, I don't.

 

I havent brought it for about 3 years but thought id try this year. Expensive mistake.

 

Not only are the game dynamics horrendous and very unrealistic, its painful to play online.

 

Admittedly im not amazing at the game, so some of it is that, but ive never known a Fifa where so many streamers and stuff, who are good at the game, are also complaining.

I've set myself a goal this year to just have a leicester team and add to it with evo's and promo cards when possible.

 

Weirdly i'v found it more enjoyable because i don't expect to win every game and have let go of a W/L Ratio as such, and it's took so much pressure of me going in to a game. I don't try hard it too much, it's a good feeling to be scoring goals with our players against meta teams.

 

Would suggest giving it a go if you don't want it to be too serious

2k more to collect when I play another 3 more games.

Exactly the same as me other ive had the 2k. Still 2 weeks left so both should get it comfortably.

Tried the manager mode but when i go into a game i cant forfeit only sim to end and that doesnt count. Its probably just me missing something. Should still have enough to reach level 40 tho. Want that Tomari card.

IIRC when you're on the objectives page on Ultimate Team you can press LT and it brings up a menu showing the various objectives to complete in different game modes like Manager Mode etc.

 

Should be able to scroll through it to see which objectives can be done to provide quick and easy EXP.

 

That said, i'd be very surprised if over the next few days we didn't get multiple ways to get easy EXP in Ultimate Team.
