This talk of people who buy STs lining Top’s pockets, is surely coming from people who just don’t understand the emotional and committed pull of supporting a football team. When I buy my ST.as I have for the past 40 years, my biggest thrill is knowing I have a ticket for every City home match. It’s my money I’m spending and my choice how I do. I don’t know who owns M and S, or Amazon or any other shop I use. If they sell what I want, I’ll buy it. I don’t go into the principles of the companies but respect anyone who does. I support LCFC both financially, spiritually and physically and am fed up being told my non supporters that I’m causing problems by doing so.

I don’t think there is another way.

You can look on the club website when it goes to season ticket holder guest. That’s about the best you’re getting without having to ring up.

This calendar year I must have gone to 30-40% of the home games.

I went to the QPR FA Cup game in January and didn’t go again until Ipswich and Southampton at home. I was hoping this season would be some form of reset but that’s obviously not happening.

I’ve been about 50% of the home games this season.

There’s been a few times where I’ve been to

a gig or similar. but mainly it’s because it’s not been worth the effort and the slightest thing works as an excuse not to go. Night games, it’s on TV, it’s raining/cold, anything will do.

When I do go down I feel like I’m watching a game as a neutral. I feel absolutely nothing towards the club in its current state. The days when I got livid are long gone, I used to be halfway down the steps of the Carling stand if a bad decision went against us.  I rarely comment on the City section on here because I just don’t have much to say.

I’m not angry at the board, the players, the manager, the happy clappers, the half time leavers, anyone. I don’t want them to go down but it won’t particularly bother me if they do.

I don’t know when I’ll make the effort again, unless they get a result tonight and on Thursday I can’t see myself at the West Brom game. The Wrexham game isn’t looking likely either.

Having said that the direct debit goes out the same as the one I pay to an obscure music streaming app, which has live Springsteen recordings going back decades,  that I rarely listen to. I’ll keep paying it as I like to dip into it now and then and pretty much like I could buy the expensive CD versions of the shows i’m

interested in, I could be a member and buy individual match tickets but I just wouldn’t pay the prices.
