I can't wait for the day he's sacked and his press conference.

First comment.

" To the fans. I'm so sorry how it turned out. But it really is not my fault. All our problems are down to Mr Rudkin. He really is a useless ****."

Other than the C word I could really see him saying that.

"content" with the level of performances recently, apparently.

Ideal for him recently, picked up 3 wins against crap sides. It's how he fools people.

I was flicking through a couple of old programmes when visiting my parents the other day. One was from the game after we beat Villa 1-0 at Filbert Street to make the Worthington Cup final and the other was for the Fulham game in the same competition/season, which happened to be after we drew 0-0 with Arsenal at Highbury in an FA Cup tie.

Really enjoyed reading through Martin O'Neill's pre-match comments as they were so wildly different from today's football speech. In the post-Villa one he was laying out a siege mentality and pilling into our critics for the 'boring boring Leicester' jibes. It was so full of personality and so obviously from him. The other was calling out some Mercury journo for saying the Highbury 0-0 and asking him how he'd counter World Cup winning Thierry Henry and Patrick Viera.

As an aside, I completely forgot that they used to name the ballboys in the programme back then too - enjoyed spotting Levi Porter and Lee Tomlin there.

When you look back through that era of programmes and even as far as about 2002/2003, you realise how much personality has been lost in the sport.

The further we move away from Russball, the better the results. It’s no coincidence.

Not necessarily as the style is starting to click a bit now (regardless of opposition quality).

I didn't want him to start with however, he seems to have evolved the style slightly and started to get results. As others have said he is also playing the youth.

If we keep winning and we keep developing a team for the future I will try to get behind him.

For examole the last few games it has felt like the players have played with more intensity. Much more than last year in particular.

There are lots of things I don't understand but I am trying to stay balanced, if he can build momentum from this run of games then who knows we might be successful this seasin after all!
