supedaj Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 i really dont have a clue who we can replace him with - but it seems that anything is an improvement - even bassett could work with these players and look like mourinho after a few games. The players arent the issue - the manager is. His tactics are inconsistent, his team selection is ever changing, he refuses to play to our strengths. Now is the time to get rid, get someone else in for the transfer window and lets give the 2nd half of the season a real go, a fresh approach. Granted a new manager wont have time to assess the squad in detail before the window closes so its a tricky one. These are (or should be) the issues the board should be pondering now - if we get rid who can come in and use the transfer window at short notice to help us?
Steven Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Leicester City 0 - 1 Norwich City Levein Out? EDIT - oops I focked that one up a bit...
City Fan Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 None of the players have any passion and know that they will get paid regardless of the result. And I suppose that is the problem with a squad with no one being here 2 full seasons except for Morris.
Honest-to-goodness LCFC fan Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Ricey I'm sure anyone could do a better job to be honest. We could replace him with Kenny Jackett, Dave Penney, Martin Allen, Gary McAllister or George Graham, or then more unrealistic options, Bobby Robson, Claudio Ranieri, John Gregory ( ), Ruud Gullit, Martin O'Neill. I would like Gary Mac to be honest. Brian Kerr is another option. Didn't set the world alight with Ireland, but seems decent.
Anish Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Brian Kerr is another option. Didn't set the world alight with Ireland, but seems decent. Good call, I didn't think of him. I thought he did a decent job with Eire, and I reckon he'd take us on.

City Fan Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 What about Jim Smith, or Berti Vogts, or Dennis Wise?
Libertine Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 What about Jim Smith, or Berti Vogts, or Dennis Wise? Would all probably do a better job than Craig! :w00t:
Leicfox Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Is Sammy McIlroy in employment? Possibility? Dont think he is, and hes sounds a good option to me.
l444ry Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 Dont think he is, and hes sounds a good option to me. You gotta be joking......Have you even glanced at his managerial record. You must be mixing him up with someone else.

I agree with these points. But it is up to the manager to fire up the players and he hasn't. Go Levein
Leicfox Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 You gotta be joking......Have you even glanced at his managerial record. You must be mixing him up with someone else. Hes caretaker manager at Morecambe anyway so no chance of coming here it would be a step back in his career, I didnt think he did to bad a job at Macclesfield tbh.

Fair point about Macclesfield. But Northern Ireland and Stockport are not very good advertisements for his "skills".

Muz Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 We go down and we'll be in serious trouble. Less fans = Less Season Tickets = No Money. It would cost us less to sack Levein than it would if we go down. And there's only one place we're going with him and its down. Dave Penney's Blue White Army
Ajax Treesdown Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 I don't hate Craig, but it is now time to resign man!!! Please, for our clubs sake! He won't though because he is stubborn. LEVEIN OUT!!!
Chrysalis Posted 31 December 2005 Posted 31 December 2005 ship him out, the stubborn idiot wont resign. people also please stop asking who to replace him with we have answered it several times and thats the board's problem to find the replacement but there is always someone.

I assume you mean the same board that appointed Levein maybe the problem goes beyond just the manager,i have my doubts that the board are actually capable of anything
The People's Hero Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Get rid now. It won't cost as much as you think to pay him off anyway. Most clubs get round paying 100% compensation. Can't we get out of it by saying that his CV etc suggested that he wouldn't be a talentless idiot?
filbertway Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Can't we get out of it by saying that his CV etc suggested that he wouldn't be a talentless idiot? Thats a good point about the connolly money so we can afford to sack him
davieG Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Thats a good point about the connolly money so we can afford to sack him Yes but then we can't afford to bring in any new players.
filbertway Posted 1 January 2006 Posted 1 January 2006 Yes but then we can't afford to bring in any new players. Maybe a new manager may be able to motivate our current players into a winning team?
Chrysalis Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 Yes but then we can't afford to bring in any new players. We dont need new players to avoid relegation, a manager is more important then the squad.
