Thracian Posted 10 January 2006 Share Posted 10 January 2006 Frank Large or Derek Dougan Large was like a human battering ram. If something was in his way he'd run right through it. Never looked a footballer but for a while everything he did seemed to come off (his knees, backside, anything) and the crowd loved it. Dougan was just so naturally amusing. He could light up the bleakest afternoon with his antics and could be relied on for goals, especially headers. Dougan/Fryatt would have been interesting if you had a time machine. Frenzied Posted 10 January 2006 Share Posted 10 January 2006 Also, Paul "Rambo" Ramsey. Not the greatest of midfielders but came on as a sub against Leeds once when we were two nil down and scored two belters. We won 4-3 in the end.

ilam Posted 10 January 2006 Share Posted 10 January 2006 Rodney Fern and the previously mentioned Frank Large, who if he had had any teeth, would have been sure to have lost them every match. He seemed to head the goal posts at least once a game.
BartonFox Posted 10 January 2006 Share Posted 10 January 2006 Also, Paul "Rambo" Ramsey. Not the greatest of midfielders but came on as a sub against Leeds once when we were two nil down and scored two belters. We won 4-3 in the end. He also got booked 10 seconds in to the second half when he snapped a certain Vinny Jones in two. The rest of the Leeds players soiled themselves and didn't wan't to know after that, even when they went 3-2 in front.
