Strokes Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 Leicester 5 Sunderland 2 was an awesome game, for 90 minutes i thought we had cracked it. Also....... Derby 0 Leicester 4
Frenzied Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 out of all the games and goals weve scored wat do you recken was our greastest victory or moment mine would have to be leicester V shrewsberry 5-2 (we even had three different goalies ) One of my greatest ever LCFC regrets was deciding to go to my mate’s 6th or 7th birthday and missing that game. Weren't the keepers Wallington, Young and Lynex? Best ever moment though would have to be the Claridge goal in the play-off final v Palace. The ball seemed to travel through the air in slow motion and for about a second after it hit the back of the net there was utter silence - then total bedlam. I still get goose bumps thinking about that.
jimbo32 Posted 18 January 2006 Author Posted 18 January 2006 there all moments people will remember for years to come true history
Darth Fox Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 I have 2 favourites that I attended in person. 5-2 vs Sunderland and that match had my favourite headed goal ever by city with Stans bullet from 18 yards. 5-0 vs Wimbledon (i think or was it 4). Dickov hatrick and everyone happy inside the Walkers. The good old days!
Bob666 Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 LCFC v Shrewsbury Cup match at Filbert St LCFC v Millwall @ Walkers Swindon v LCFC Playoff @ Wembley [for comebacks despite result!] Claridge's goal @ Wembley
Phube Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 5 - 2 Vs Sunderland - Just for what could have been *sniff* *sniff*
Ric Flair Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 Tottenham 4 Ten man Leicester 4. Amazing game, but you just knew that we weren't going to win. When that Defoe goal went in I remember the whole of the pub shout '****in knew it' all in tandem. Although looking back on that season it was entertaining the heartache in games like Southampton, Wolves, Middlesborough, Tottenham (home and away) and Leeds away was horrible to take. The Wolves one being the worst, I was away at the time and it ruined my holiday.
ROSSINDA Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 Mine would have to be the 3-3 arsenal game at filbo what a buzz and to see walsheys face when he scored the different emotions me and my mates went thru almost had a heart attack just watchin the replay Mine too

Far cry from the pile of shit we've got now.
Milky Posted 19 January 2006 Posted 19 January 2006 5-2 against sunderland was superb. 5th march 2000 that was probably the strongest side for a long while in that game. midfield of izzet, savage and lennon. heskey and collymore up front. that was the peak, i doubt we will see such days again. at least we were alive to see it though hey.

Monk Posted 19 January 2006 Posted 19 January 2006 one perfect match! In fact it really is one of the only games I can remember since I started supporting in '92 when we actually scored 5 goals in a game. I loved that match. i can specifically remember sitting in the South Stand upper tier and watching a dog tear all the clothes from a washing line in one of the gardens by the east stand... then Stan scored... The days. My personal favorite was the 3-3 arsenal game though, because it showed everything that we believe our club stands for - giving it your all and never giving up. The current team / board / manager should take note!

I was crying about that match yesterday... we were all argueing about the best TV Prem game obviously the 4-3 Liverpool/Newcastle one and I proffered the two we are discussing, but I went to the Sunderland one.

Though another of my favorites was when we beat Shef Wed at home in '97 and it meant we were mathematically safe from relegation. Elliot scored in like the 85th minute with a shot from the edge of the box. At the time had a season ticket in row 1 of the carling stand upper tier - all the reserve players had a box down below and were going nuts.
syston_fox Posted 19 January 2006 Posted 19 January 2006 Charlton away last season and spurs at home this season. Both great performances but made to seem even better due to the awful league form!
