Shrew Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 just how good was joeys goal? heard it on ssn and commentator seemed very impressed!!!
Newcastle_Fox Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Scoring from 45 years just inside the half way line! Great Strike!
steve_wilson101 Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 unfortunately has not got us the win though. But looks like his second might
Collymore Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Scoring from 45 years just inside the half way line! Great Strike! 45 light years is a long way out seriously though, I thought the pitch was like 110 yards long so if it was in his half, it must have been over 55 yards at least.
Newcastle_Fox Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 It's what your best mate Barber said so its probs wrong
Tommeh Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Best goal i've ever seen at the Walkers, better than Nalis's v Leeds!!!
Phube Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Even better than Lonegans!! Much, didn't even bounce!! I know Joey says it was a shot, but I'm not sure it was straight to Fryatt just a fraction too high... Literally the shot/pass was the same just over head height all the way 'til it hit the back of the net!!!
Craig Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Yeah, and wasn't it wierd when his second went in, i'm pretty sure everyone thought it'd gone wide..
Phube Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Yeah, and wasn't it wierd when his second went in, i'm pretty sure everyone thought it'd gone wide.. Not me I sit directly behind the left hand post, but I can see what you mean from anywhere else it might have looked wide!!
Tommeh Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Yeah, and wasn't it wierd when his second went in, i'm pretty sure everyone thought it'd gone wide.. I know yeah i was the only one who actually knew we's scored until 5 seconds later
Anish Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 His first goal was sensational - definitely the best goal at the Walkers that I've seen. His 2nd was technically brilliant because he kept his concentration when a defender was charging straight at him.
Craig Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Hume's was also a very well created goal. All the goals were top quality today, even both of theirs.
andyh1884 Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 I'm fairly sure I saw joey put his arm up to apologise to fryatt for an over-hit pass his first. but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt!
Flemmish Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 You can see the goals in pictures on the OS: http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~797716,00.html
Cat Burger Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 On his interview on the OS it says he's disappointed not to be staying. Haven't heard anything before about this. Were the club not offering him enough or something?
martyn Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 Do we even know if he was offered a contract at all? He is basically implying that he would like to have stayed.
holly Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 was amazing!! thought it was a pass to fryatt aswell, but who cares it was awesome!! and the second i thought the keeper had put it behind but cleary not, joey defo deserved man of the match today, not just coz of his goals!! when i asked joey before he signed for az about him staying he said it was down to the club, so i am guessing maybe they werent gunna offer him enough coz we clearly would have offered him a new contract we aint that stupid!!
Bluefoxtim Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 on the OS, "Internet rights mean that the club are restricted from showing the goal online until 24 hours after the game. Make sure you tune in to Leicester City World at 5pm on Sunday to relive the magic strike." Whats that all about?

Cat Burger Posted 4 March 2006 Posted 4 March 2006 ITV have the rights to them, I bet they can't release the goals until after the championship program has been shown...They still wouldn't put it on world for a while though I bet...Lazy conts
potter3 Posted 5 March 2006 Posted 5 March 2006 So did you watch it on the Championship? It was Awesome.
