I Left the game today at half time

It makes me wonder though, who actually goes to watch the football. I mean, some just go to cause trouble we all know that but people leaving or threatening to leave at half time because 'the kop wasnt loud enough' or 'we arent slagging Peter Twatlor off enough' makes MY mind boggle!

I do go to watch the football, but football and singing went hand in hand for many years especially at Filbert Street. Some people don't want to sing, that's faor enough but I cannot believe that suddenly people who have gone to games for years and sung their hearts out have lost the ability to sing. If you asked every single fan who went to the game on saturday what they thought of Peter Taylor, the sort of comments would be of similar ilk to what we think of Dennis Wise and he got a right going over when he came back here on 3 occasions!

Just frustrates me abit, especially when you go to a game and get comments made to you just because your singing, unreal.

In the many years I've been watching football, I've never seen anyone make any comments just because someone is singing. Apart from the obvious "do you mind not swearing in front of my child/parents/etc" type thing.

I'm not sure that Leicester fans are any worse than many others in the country. If we were doing well then the atmosphere would improve accordingly. Ever since all seater stadia were introduced things have been getting worse and worse. A generation later many loyal fans have been priced out of the market and we are now where we are. As for Taylor's easy ride, just like in politics people are/have lost the will to voice their opinions. The current young generation are pretty disgraceful really as they are as radical as a potato.

Don't get me wrong it doesn't happen regularly but on saturday somebody actually made a comment because I was signing. I wasn't sitting in my usual seat I was about 10 rows down from where I usually sit and perhaps the people around that seat weren't used to people singing but a few of them were whispering to the people next to them basically saying they wished i'd shut up! They were in the kop, I couldn't believe it! Two women and 3 young girls, that isn't a problem but I find it a little rude that they then take offence to abit of singing.

There wasn't much swearing if any from my part, infact it seemed the HUUUUUUUME chant was the most offensive to their ears.

if you want atmosphere, we could do with more that 22,000 turning up on a regular basis. far too many fair weather supporters, as soon as we hit the prem, oh look! it's almost a packed house.

I personally wouldn't agee with this... I didn't barrack PT on Sat, because yes he did buy crap players put them on stupid contracts and almost ruin the club. But he didn't do it on purpose!! (I know this is hard to accept for some people!) That is what the Charman/Chief exec is for.... to stop stupid wastes of money!!! He was just bad at his job, not evil!!!

Whereas people I WILL barrack are Dennis Wise he PURPOSFULLY hit a team mate in a cowardly act and got the club into administration..

Mark McGee he PURPOSFULLY left after less than a year to go to a 'bigger' club.

John Curtis for PURPOSFULLY slagging us off when he went to Portsmouth!

Alan Shearer for PURPOSFULLY kicking Lennon in the head... and getting away with it!!!!

I WILL NOT barrack people like Akinbuyi, Benjamin, De Vries even the centre midfield genius Kisnorbo (when he was playing there) 'cause whether they were crap or not, they allways put the effort in!!

But that's just me, I appriciate effort, not just skill. So call me a crap fan if you like but all I do is SUPPORT the team, whether they are bad or good!!!!

I'd sing louder if that happened to me, to be fair!!

For startes I didnt threatening to do anything I just got up and did it, and it wasn't in protest of the kop not being loud enough, it was because i was fed up with looking like a right muppit in my attempts to slag off Taylor. The man is filth and I wanted him to know it! Like I say i've come to expect silence at the bowl but I was expecting a little more from that game. I was looked at like I was a alien at times, It was like being back in the carling stand when I was 10 years old, dead. There was no noise no passion, the game was appauling and I was livid so I left. walking outs not somthing ive ever done before, or probabley ever will do again.

For the last time I know it wasn't the brightest thing to do!

Well your a remarkable man if you can forgive Taylor for what he did here. I'm sure people who fall asleep at the wheel and cause massive accidents didn't intend to do what they did but they still get punished for it. Taylor has ruined this club, whether he meant to do it or not. Nick Leeson lost companies hundreds of millions of pounds, he also didn't set out to do this but are people sympathetic towards him? Are they bollocks.

Do you want to read my post again?

I said roughly along the lines of people who LEFT and who THREATENED to leave (i.e you and Ric) and I also said because the 'kop wasnt loud enough' or we werent 'shouting enough abuse at Peter Twatlor' (also you and Ric)

Yes Taylor spent the money, and badly, but who gave him it? The board have a lot to answer for. If you really want to know when the wheels came off at city it was when we lost the financial control that Pierpoint exerted on the club, all the fans wanted him to go because of the gang of 4 and his arguements with Martin but he did a good job on the financial side of things.

PT was a poor manager here but that's history.

I didn't say I'd forgiven him, I just won't barrack a bloke who tried his hardest (crap yes, but tried).

Driving whilst drowsy is illeagal and you should take rests, if you do then you personally are at fault!!

Nick Leeson was dealing with HUGE sums of money BEHIND the back of his employers (without their knowledge)... PT had the FULL backing of the board, who could have put a stop to it at any time!!!

Of course the board are as much to blame, John Elsom is another grade A twat aswell.

He's still a twat and deserved more abuse than he got.

as always there was no " getting behind the lads " It was like being in a gravey yard from what I could hear. and im sure the noise of 50 chavs in L1 would of really made its way across to Taylors ears.

we're suppouse to have a home fortress at home, which means people who are unwelcome should be made to feel this way.

I on the other hand I should not have been made to feel unwelcome and felt the need to leave.

I sympathise entirely. Few years back some fans in Kop turned onme for giving some stick to Alan Bogers or another muppet at the time. Shouldn't feel threatened by own fans..not good!

Ric, you are acting like a child, Taylor did a poor job here but that is not an excuse to vilify him. Everyone involved in the management and adminstration at city at that time helped to cause the downfall.

Our two Coca Cola/Worthington cup wins are also history but I won't be letting go or forgetting them for a very very long time thats for certain. Unfortunately im not the kind of person who can just block out bad memories and remember the good times.

I think some people fail to actually gage the amount of damage Peter Taylor did to this club. I hear people saying " well we didn't slag off Micky Adams so why should we give Taylor a hard time" He spent all of the money we had accumulated through five years of sucess, tried to buy well from lower league teams, similar to MON, but paying treble the price for players with three times less talent, got us relegated, and left the next management team with a team full of first and second division players on premeir league wages. It was a absloute disaster. If he hadn't of been so stupid we would not have ended up as one the the most hated and poorest clubs in Englad!

People should not blame Eric Hall for our admin without first blaming Taylor as it was A) Taylor who signed him B) Taylor who bought a load of League one players on for stupid money and premiership wages, costing is alot more then Dennis Wise's compo claim. I really couldnt care if it was done delberitly or not!

So im sorry if im a bit bitter!

Its getting to somthing when Peter Taylor comes out and says he deserves everything he gets before the game, and come the game he gets nothing, mainly because of anthor game of nil atmosphere at the Walkers.

He's still a twat though, or aren't I allowed to think that? He well and truely ****ed up at Leicester along with the board (Elsom, etc). He might not of meant to, he might of tried but he still ****ed up. This club will never ever ever have £30 million in the bank, be in europe, have one of the best midfields in England, a world class striker ever again! If they do then i'll be happy to give up my hate campaign against Taylor but I seriously doubt we ever will do.

The way it was all frittered away bemuses me, if you can justify to me that this wasn't the case then please enlighten me. It's beggers belief that people can let him off the hook like that, horrifying infact.

How do you know she doesnt?

Exactly.

Excellent come back.

I'd have a look in the mirrior before you next decide to call some one childish.

I will if I can find one (anyone know what a mirrior is?), this whole debate about crucifying Taylor is boring, he was a crap manager for us, so what we've had a few.

The major mistakes were in the boardroom (why did we pay him more money not to leave after he lost 13 matches on the bounce???).

I have better things to worry about.
