put simply Peter Taylor left Leicester today with little more then a barely audioble boo ringing in his ears.

Pathetic. sums up the state of our home suppourt.

How is getting on Taylor's back supporting the lads?!

You can't link people not getting on Taylor's back with being pathetic support. Anyway, he was getting plenty of stick from L1. I doubt he will have heard but does it matter now? No, he is our past. He knows how much the majority of City fans hate him. Singing songs about him will just confirm this.

as always there was no " getting behind the lads " It was like being in a gravey yard from what I could hear. and im sure the noise of 50 chavs in L1 would of really made its way across to Taylors ears.

we're suppouse to have a home fortress at home, which means people who are unwelcome should be made to feel this way.

I on the other hand I should not have been made to feel unwelcome and felt the need to leave.

Maybe it's because there are too many people on the Gravey Train? ;)

You must have led a sheltered life if that match today was bad enough to make you leave at half-time, besides if you've been attending matches these last few years you'd know that the only time the crowd gets up for it is when we have a truely diabolical referee flashing red cards around.

Chavs or not, it doesn't matter. The group of City supporters in L1 sing for the majority of the game and try their best to make an atmosphere. Used to wonder what's so good about L1, now I sit next to it I realise that it's not just "50 chavs", it's a group of City supporters who just want to support our team. At least I feel like I've done my bit towards creating an atmosphere when I leave Filbert Way and I'm not even a chav.

Bit on a unique day really Davie, I know how the people who stand in front of me singing "stand up if you love Leicester" and having no one join in feel. The game itself from what I understand was amazing, and normally thats what I would be 95% paying attention to. However on this day Peter Taylor should of been made to feel 2 inches tall. which he wasn't.

John, L1 is not filled with people who want to make a atmosphere it is filled with people who want to wind up away fans. which is the sole reason they sit where they do.

You can call it winding up or you can call it banter. Banter between two sets of football supporters? What's wrong with that?

I get the impression that you've heard of one incident that happened in L1 and presumed that's what it's always like there.

Yet another post criticising our home support :yawn:

Manwell - if you felt so passionately about abusing Peter Taylor did you wait outside the ground 2 hours before kick off to shout at him as he got off the Hull City coach? Did you wait til the end and abuse Taylor as he was boarding the coach again? That would make him feel more ashamed and hated - where the abuse is closer and more 'personal' (i.e face to face).

Most fans like me come to watch the football - and our club has moved on since Taylor's days. It was 5 years ago, and time's a healer.

If you left at H/T then that's your prerogative - just like it is the rest of ours in choosing whether to abuse Taylor for 90 minutes or not. Do what you want, but don't criticise others for not thinking the same way as you.

Yeah I got up and watched it. Amazing.

For every one calling me stupid, I admit it was now I look at it in the cold light of being sober. Im sorry but I would of felt even more stupid staying as it was pointless, I felt like an idoit being the only beratting Taylor. I just feel like our fans have been gutless for a long time and I expected a good atmosphere yesterday and when it didnt happen I was fooked off. Im going to have to cut the drink out a bit at the weekends, I keep doing the most stupid things

I still think im right about the Taylor thing though. He should of got more stick. Even he was expecting a ear bashing and he said he would deserve it, which he *(^)(^)( well does seeing as he nearly wrecked this club. What he actually got was a little bit of booing and the sound of 23,000 Leicester fans sat on their hands and L1 on the other side of the pitch faintly singing Peter Taylor what a willy puller.

I did think the chants against Peter Taylor were abit poor, No-one joining in, e.t.c, but i'll get over it and would never leave for such a rubbish excuse.

I said my piece on Radio Humberside anyway, before the match a women came over to me and asked if she could interview me about my opinions on PT she said I couldn't swear though  anyway I felt the interview was shit, I was giving my honest opinions on how much I hate PT and she was basically putting words into my mouth that PT didn't do that much of a bad job here. and when I proved that he really was shite here she ended the interview and interview some other Leicester fans.

I have to say that Manwell does have a point. Ok no-one really joined in having a go at Taylor but to be fair to him there were times during the game you cudda heard a pin drop! At times our support has seemed to be absolutely shit but I don't think it is through the fans not singing etc. The problem that we have down at the walkers is that some people in the kop sing, L1 sings. The west stand may as well be a stand of deaf mutes with the amount of support they give and the north stand is full of kids who need song sheets to join in. Thus with only having patches of people around the ground chanting etc there is no way you are going to create a decent atmosphere. Maybe the answer would be to swap the kop down to the north end so at least we are able to drown out 4000 away fans when they all turn up!

I can't believe you left at half time, I would give my right arm to go to as many City games as you probably do - no matter what the result was or how the fans were, if you just went to boo Peter Taylor that was stupid, sure he's got good reason to be booed (and its another attraction to going) but the main reason you should have been there was to support the team, oh, and look what happened after you left - we won! Surely that's stick enough to PT?

I can understand you being pissed off seing as Neil Warnock got more stick than Taylor but to leave the ground at half time!

the lack of abuse did suprise me. listening on the radio it was very very quiet and i wondered what was going on. to leave the ground though is pretty stupid thing to do, you've missed two crackers from joey all because of that gimp taylor.

As I said it was stupid thing to do. But he should of left the stadium hanging on to his sanity by a thread, I didnt go just to boo Taylor, I went to watch the game too, and it was atmoshpere as awhole that really annoyed me again yesterday. I shouldn't of walked out, football fans do stupid things though sometimes though
