Carlo Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Apparently he has his interview thursday!! Not a bad choice IMO
Ricey Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Don't really know much about him except that he is doing well at Hearts, would be a risk. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/3960105.stm
Hoof Fox Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 I think he would be a great appointment, young but experienced, encourages good football, disciplinarian, ambitious everything we have been asking for, and is also used to working under a budget. Must really want to manage us as well if he is prepared to walk away from European football.
SamuearlJackson Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 can you imagine him throwing a tea-cup in the dressing room?!
Ash Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 I dont really know much about him , so i think its hard to comment on him ! Has he got a good managerial record ?
Scow Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Must really want to manage us as well if he is prepared to walk away from European football. 30238 Could be more to do with the goings on behind the scenes at Hearts. However, a club like Leicester, with a brand new stadium, a relatively large fan base, and the potential to manage in the Premiership will be huge pull factors I'm sure.
Mark Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 Must really want to manage us as well if he is prepared to walk away from European football. 30238 Could be more to do with the goings on behind the scenes at Hearts. 30252 This is most likely. There have been suggestions that his job could be threatened by Vladimir Romanov's proposed takeover of Hearts.
Ricey Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 It now says that he is unaware of this interview.
Cat Burger Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 can you imagine him throwing a tea-cup in the dressing room?! 30240 He looks like nasty Nick From Big Brother one! I hope he is not a bad man.
Foxes_Trust Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 I dont really know much about him , so i think its hard to comment on him ! Has he got a good managerial record ? 30250 We covered his record as part of this article http://www.foxestrust.com/html/modules.php...article&sid=320
Anish Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 It now says that he is unaware of this interview. 30275 Sounds a bit dodgy with the BBC saying one thing and Levein saying another. I hope he is having an interview tomorrow, and he's just trying to cover up something. Would be a good appointment imo.
Louise Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 He's hardly going to admit to interviewing for another job while he's still employed at Hearts is he?
Guest Daniel Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 I would love to see him here, better than big name shit bags like McGhee & Gregory that have walked out on us before. I say, give him a chance.
Scarby Posted 27 October 2004 Posted 27 October 2004 cant say i think he is the best man for the job!! but then again i didnt think Micky was so who am i to say!! if harry wants him he must be good enough
gjp Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Heard good things about him and he is a loyal type hence staying at hearts for sometime when other offered jobs.Happy to give the guy a chance after all who else is there available who fills you with hope for the future?
discojoe Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 just got a text to my phone beacause i get the leicester alerts and it said he didnt want it
Ric Flair Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Levein has always been my first choice, he's a class manager and too good for Leicester really. I nearly choked when I saw we had offered him the job and compensation has been agreed, he's just got to meet with this romanian chap to see what Hearts future plans are. If they are promising he'll stay, if they aren't he'll come to Leicester. Craig Levein's Blue & White Army!!!!!!
Ricey Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 It says in todays Daily Express that Craig Levein is our first choice and will be interviewed today. It states aswell that id Levein turns it down then we will try get Megson. However Megson is quoted as saying "I haven't done anything to get myself a new job". I would personally prefer Megson to Levein.
Wellman Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 on skysports news at the ticker thing at the bottom, it says he has an interview today??
Louise Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Rumours on a Hearts messageboard are breaking that he might quit today.
Louise Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Levein expeted to sign for us in the next few days on a reported wage of 200k, it's everywhere now.
Craig Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 Skysportsnews... "Leicester aproach hearts boss Levein"
gjp Posted 28 October 2004 Posted 28 October 2004 I for one would be pleased if he comes and hes not ginger
