shen Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 W-W Whats your story then for supporting Leicester?
Smudge Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Born in Leicester and supported them since Matt Gillies was in charge. We moved to the US in 1987 but still have the strongest of ties with my team.
Smudge Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Leicestershire : World for me. Makes me one of just two people. God I'm special. One of three but still spashul
lookwhaticando Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 One of three but still spashul  And bloody hell! That's quite the dedication to the team you've got going - having lived in the US for almost 20 years now, and still following them. I'm not planning on being on this side of the pond *that* long - but in the event I do remain, I will remain the fan I am today... unless some bastard bankrupts the club and it ceased to exist. I've not lived in the county for going on twenty years, I've been a fan for 11, and I've never been to a game. Bloody circumstances.
the_bowman Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Technically I wasn't born in Leicestershire, I was born in Burton, but then I moved into Leicestershire a tiny bit l8r I really hate living on the border of 3 counties...
Phube Posted 10 November 2006 Author Posted 10 November 2006 Wow some nice dredging Cisono!! What a quality thread hey?
Jay Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 never lived in Leicestershire although you could say I'm on the border but I started supporting Leicester because of my dad!! I was a late developer and my first game wasn't until I was about 11 when before I just jumped from club to club a real glory hunter. However my dad took me to my first Leicester game against Leeds with his mate who was a dirty Leeds fan it was in the old South Stand upper at the very front, anyway we lost pretty badly but I felt a connection with the City fans it was something special and something the took hold of me and well the rest is history!! I am so thankfull to my father for taking me and it's something I will always remember him for.
lookwhaticando Posted 10 November 2006 Posted 10 November 2006 Wow some nice dredging Cisono!! What a quality thread hey? cisono's following my advice on being cool.

cisono Posted 11 November 2006 Posted 11 November 2006 cisono's following my advice on being cool. Yup... - get hardly any sleep, - work all day ( <- you don't actually do this, but you advise people to do so) - only stop posting when you fall over from sheer tiredness (and a massive headache)

Finnegan Posted 12 November 2006 Posted 12 November 2006 Obviously born in Wales. My parents moved about a bit, lived in two or three places in Wales. Moved to Leicester just over ten years ago, my Dad had lived in Wigston for a bit when he was younger too and is a City fan. Started following football properly whilst in Leicester so being a City fan was inevitable. Currently living in London.

And there was me thinking you were taking the p!ss when saying so many nice things about Wales Just out of curiosity (and tell me to fook off if you want to), what made your parents decide to move to Leicester of all places in England?!
Finnegan Posted 12 November 2006 Posted 12 November 2006 Two things, really. Firstly, like I said, my dad had lived here before and secondly - it's where the job was.
