newms Posted 15 May 2006 Posted 15 May 2006 Personally I find this difficult to believe. Leicester is an average size City with no other club for around 20 miles. However where are these fans at games? I was surprised Forest and Birmingham didnt even make the top 20!

Jamesino_LCFC Posted 15 May 2006 Posted 15 May 2006 Thats pretty good considering we are a championship side... Have you got a link? It would be interesting to see the table.

Master Fox Posted 15 May 2006 Posted 15 May 2006 Leicester top 20 Heard about it the other day, not sure the list is on the link Rubbish link
Fez of Mahrez Posted 15 May 2006 Posted 15 May 2006 NICE Surely our position in that table is just guesswork based on the catchment area etc? There's no way we have that many more fans than Sheffield United and Forest, to name but two who aren't in the top 20.
newms Posted 15 May 2006 Author Posted 15 May 2006 they probably went round Leicester asking people who said they were leicester fans but have never and would never go to a game

You would be surprised, I know quite a few Leicester fans where I live which is about 50 miles from Leicester

newms Posted 15 May 2006 Author Posted 15 May 2006 walking round the high street and looking in primark like every bugger else
The People's Hero Posted 15 May 2006 Posted 15 May 2006 I think the correct answer is shopping with the missus/drinking/wan king.

If this is the same survey that is on another forum, then the sample was 5,000, and the larger numbers extrapolated thus.

luffbra Posted 15 May 2006 Posted 15 May 2006 You would be surprised, I know quite a few Leicester fans where I live which is about 50 miles from Leicester That's true. When I lived in Manchester, there were 4 Leicester City fans on the staff of the school I taught in, and there were 2 more season ticket holders who went to the same church I did... Not as unpopular as you would think.
