Over the last five years I have changed from believing in a reform based incarceration to one where punishment is the main objective.

I think the consequences of crime should be scary - really bloody scary. You look at a Mars bar in a shop when you're 13 and go "Hell no, I'm not lifting that!". You fancy stealing someone's car, robbing their home, mugging them for a cellphone - you should get your nuts slammed in a door (metaphorically, although I would volunteer to be door-slammer in chief )

My Dad was an accountant and suffered a 12 bore to the back of his head during a wages snatch at the place he worked at...you're talking a couple of grand tops. Shitheads like that should just lose liberty for life.

For someone that is pretty left of centre, criminals have made me a raging right wing zealot on this issue.

No, I agree!! The law is weak in this country and I think the 'do gooders' in this country, think too much on reform rather than punishment.

My ancestry is from the Punjab, and I have been many times, the law is corrupt but believe me you would not want to go to prison. The jails have beds with no matress, no sky tv, 3 very basic meals a day and you only get fed after you do a shift a 'hard labour'. The place isn't free from crime but criminals detest the thought of going prison, and petty criminals ie thieves, muggers etc tend to be very desperate poor people who cannot afford to eat etc!!!

I know people who have been inside and had better lives inside then out, ie skysports, 3 good meals, gym etc!!

That's a big problem, the major parties have disoassociated themselves and have really have lost touch with everyday people, and this has put BNP in the limelight and a alternative to them.

No i wasn't joking, i can see what politicians are doing in this country and it makes me sick, i mean ffs if Blair had got that european constitution through the back door like he had tried, we would have been living in a dictatorship and would be in all but name a state of an undemorcratic europe.

I agree BNP are by no means ideal and i have always supported the tories in the past, but they offer no alternative now and the two main party's only squabble over minor issues blown out of proportion to pull the wool over our eye's whilst achieving a common goal. If you had a referendum - which these arseholes promised but didn't and wouldn't dare have had until they were guaranteed the result they wanted (some free referendum that) - we'd never have sold our souls to Europe and never have got involved with the Human Rights legislation as it stands.

Human Rights legislation should be linked to human responsibility. People's welfare is always dependent on the actions and attitudes of others, ask every baby ever born. Therefore giving rights which are detached from responsibilities is thoughtless stupidity.

The scum may be 'led' by a couple of people with degrees but they demonstrate every time they gain a seat how crap they are in practice. They don't turn up, they fail to vote as promised to their supporters or they simply get sent to prison again for breaking the law.

We know what happens when these shits do have power, Philosophy Football (t-shirt people) have organised purchasers of their fan friendship world cup shirt to meet with German and Polish supporters to lay wreaths at the site of the Dachau Concentration Camp honouring the memory of the holocaust.

This Labour government have made it virtually impossible for anyone to exercise common sense. The slightest thing gets pulled up and yet people who commit (what I would call proper) crimes have the most insulting sentences imposed on them if any at all. No wonder this country is a laughing stock, im proud to be English (yes English) but im also ashamed of our so called leader who is quite content to be George 'w' Bush's puppet and lilly livered amongst other things.

I said 'that' is very sad ... point out the bit where I was failing to be respectful there? If I had wanted to say 'you' are very sad then I would have written that in its place. If you disagree with your previous statements then say it, if not then do not get upset when you are quoted.

Personally, I figure that voting for the BNP negates any right anyone has to respect. As I said, it seems to be a screaming contradiction that you can can support Leicester City FC, in the city of Leicester and yet vote for a party that would 'repatriate' all people not of a white European descent.
