Foxes Trust

The nail has been hit on the head.

Why would the board take you seriously when your membership has dropped by maybe as much as 70%? You quite clearly no longer represent the fans.

For the record, I think you should have been approaching people via season ticket renewals, membership renewals, at the games in person, at the games at half time, you should set up an annual direct debiting system so people don't have to renew, you could leave leaflets on seats encouraging people to join but it seems to me that you have allowed the organisation to be marginalised.

With the same people at the helm it seems to me that the present course will remain unaltered.

Foxes Trust R.I.P

We are still by far the largest LCFC fans organisation & as an example if the club receives a takeover bid fans have no say in it, except for the Foxes Trust who as a shareholder have the choice to vote for or against & can lobby other shareholders prior to the vote (as we have a regular communication channel with them).

We had previously approached the club to send out FT membership application forms with ST renewals & the club said no (one excuse being on the basis they would need to do the same for other fans orgs too). Some smaller clubs allow this to happen. Due to the Data Protection Act they can't release the addresses for us to do our own mailing.

We haven't tried to stop fans outside the ground, as fans tend to think we are trying to flog credit cards or lottery tickets. It's something we may do in the future, but would need more membership volunteers to get involved so we can be sited around the ground.

We have now set up a standing order system & this will go out with renewals in future.

We have tried to minimise expenditure, so we can invest more in the club, hence the decision not to produce flyers, however we would be keen to do this if we could find a local business who would pay the printing costs for a large advert on the flyer.

As previously said, we are keen for members to come forward to serve on the board, we really wish more fans were willing to give their time & efforts so the Trust can achieve more. With most board members having full time jobs, we have to focus our time which limits what we can do

Why are the FT only represented once in every four games in the Director's Box? That sounds like 'we'll let them sit with us once in a while just to keep them happy'

Will answer Disco Bob & your other points tonight.

The FT are represented in the Directors Box at every home game, there is a rota of 4 FT board members, hence each board member only goes on average every 4th game into the Directors Box & spends the other 3 games in their own seat.

Would the FT welcome a big investor to the club and what affect would they have on the FT?

If they would welcome a big investor is it in their remit to actively seek one?

IF there is someone out there who has the finances and acumen to take City forward in the short, medium and long term AND has the best interests of City fans at heart then great. We certainly would not be against it.

But for every success story where someone has come in and taken a football club over and turned it around there are three horror stories. So we have to be very careful what we wish for. Suffice to say that if Mandaric, or anyone else, bids to take ownership of our club we would do our utmost to ensure it is one that will take the club forward and in full consultation with our members...

The affect on the FT really depends what kind of investment they had in mind and if seeking a majority shareholding, their attitude towards fan representation on the board.

It is in the club's board remit to seek new investors, not the Trust
