We haven't played to our potential, just like France, and yet they pull off a result against a team who were pretty damn good in the Group stage. Maybe SGE(CI) has a point about not winning the World Cup with flair...

Racist Aragones beaten by 'all black' France, oh the irony Yes - I think Vieira was having a laugh when there was an incident late on in the game and he put a finger up to his mouth whilst looking at Spain's manager - quite a poignant moment I think.

And what a sweet game it was Big hand to the ref, let it flow and didn't dish out loads of stupid bookings, and look what we got in return. I like Spain as a team, but Aragones is a facking cant.

Ignoring the fact that I think it is the best National anthem in the world, what a scummy thing to do. The first time I have heard it in the games I've seen. Plus - the first time I have seen the ref sending players back over to help up the player they'd just fouled and apologise in place of giving a card. Wonderful game
Ultra Posted 28 June 2006 Posted 28 June 2006 Credit to Zidane for producing his best performance in years. No credit to Henry for his outrageous playacting. Whatever the provocation (and there was a lot), it was inexcusable. I trust FIFA will clamp down heavily on him once they've seen the footage. Or is there one law for Europeans and another for everone else?
