I don't believe this, it's bad enough him signing a new contract but now RK wants him to be a regular next season :(

All of a sudden my hopes for next season dip.

What a sh*te way to spend my 4,000th post.

Congrats  .... I think, maybe I'm too depressed to care.... :(

Good lordy, every single bit of that article offends me. Mainly the 30+ game bit, which if we go on last seasons record of him never being in a winning team when he played for us then we are in for rich pickings of a season.

Rob Kelly is really starting to test my resolve, I wish he wouldn't. I want to like Kelly, but keeping Tiatto and signing millions of defenders that we don't need isn't pleasant.

Is that actually true?

For Fox sake you lot, when are you actually going to get behind the manager, and start supporting OUR team??!!

We are Leicester City, we are an average Championship team, fecking deal with it or p!ss off and go glory hunting somewhere else.

All we can hope for is for the club to compete, and to do as well as they can with the resources they've got, and if that means Tiatto then so be it.

And people say there is a lack of ambition at midlands clubs....

Afraid so. He started something like 11 games last season and we didn't win in any of them in the league. Mesmorising.

I would say that the majority of fans will be disgusted by this decision so the minority (like yourself) should perhaps think about supporting another club if you don't like the moaning.

I'll judge Kelly on results, but I can't pretend to be happy about these signings and contract renewals.

How can you feel any passion if you are willing to accept any manner of performances from the team you support?

To clarify, the club and its performance means so much to me that when I see the kind of performances Tiatto put in last season, they are unacceptable. I don't have incredibly high standards, I remember the Pleat days and the Taylor days as much as the O'Neill days. Commitment isn't enough for me though, I need to see some kind of ability too, something I saw nothing of from Tiatto last season. He shamed the shirt in some of his performances. And if we aren't allowed to express negative opinions, what the hell is the point of a messageboard such as this? We might as well all join the happy clappy mental hospital brigade and sit on the front row of the Family Stand with our thermos and bags of crisps for the kids and glaring at people who swear.

We don't have to settle for competing, we can rightfully demand a certain level of performance, given the money we all invest in the club.

Nothing wrong with ambition, or aspirations - but we've got to be realistic and can't expect to walk this division this year.

Of course I want to see us back in the Premiership, of course I want to see us signing quality players and playing good football, but that isn't going to happen overnight. I've been watching City for far too long now to know what it's like to go through the peaks and troughs, the good times and the bad.

Just think some of the people on here need a reality check, or maybe their enthusiasm is a little misguided.

I'm in a bad mood today, maybe I just got p!ssed off too easily!!

Did I at any point say that I was happy that Tiatto had resigned? No I did not, I just said that this is our team, let's support them. We'll never be totally happy with what we've got, but let's be grateful we still have a team to support after what happened with the administration malarky.

If you are "disgusted" by this decision maybe you're the one who should think about supporting another team if the board, the manager, and the playing staff don't meet with your approval.

Either that or plough millions of £Â£Ã‚£ into this football club and turn it around

We've got 2 keepers who flap and can't kick; a midfield that has less creativity than my dog.......and we give Tiatto another year - what is going on?

damn it ... you found me out!!

All I'm saying is (because I'm in a bad mood today) that we've got to accept what we've got and deal with it.

There were too many times last season when players like Tiatto were appaling, and I was frequently embarassed to be a Leicester fan - but I still turned up week in, week out home and most away games to watch them and TRY and give them my support. I will, and often do, voice my discontent on the terraces.

LCFC are a major part of my life, Filbert Street and now the Walkers define my weekends, my good times and the bad. So believe me, I share your passion, and that of most people who are reading this, and I want nothing more than to be riding o the crest of a wave again.

But for now, let's try and have some optimism, get behind the lads and give them our support.

If after the first game we are sh!t, then yes, believe me, I will share your discontent!

:D Great first post. :welcome:

Thanks - I don't normally bother with chat but this 'news' has really miffed me off! I thought I could see where we were going but I've lost the plot now.........and Tiatto's got my season ticket money!!!

I'm sure Tiatto's going to be No.1 to Wesolowski's No.2 at this rate.

As I say I reckon he is left wing or possibe even left back bound.

Hughes/low - Williams/Hughes - Weso/Johnson - Tiatto

There is no way he will get 30+ games in the centre Johnson and Williams will keep him out even if weso doesn't.

What an utter crock of crap this is.

A fourth division winger and central defender, one distinctly average and possibly past it midfielder and Danny Tiatto again one of the worst players to grace this Club in the post O'Neill era. We have 2 decent strikers, one of which will be away by the end of August and we are left with O'Grady or Hammond as first choice with the other one.

At least after the Pleat season when we nearly went down, we ended up at Wembley and that saved the Club, it won't happen this year and it will spell disaster.

Cheap options rarely last.

If i remeber that year we signed Nicky Platnuer, Ashley Ward, Paul Fitzpatrick, Micheal Trotter, Gary Coatsworth and Kevin Poole.

Other than Poole none of them were amazing all from lower leagues.

We will do alright next season!

And i think there have been quite a few worse than tiatto since oneill left. Did he not get player of the season the year adams left?

I know its all opinions!!

Let hope you are wrong and we do well :)

What Rob Kelly says and what he's really thinking of dong are two different things. Let's be honest, Rob Kelly could never sign/re-sign a player and say that he's going to be used as a back-up player and will play very few games. He's got to try and keep everyone happy. "We want him to play 30+ games" doesn't mean he will play 30+ games next season. If someone puts in some good performances in place of Tiatto, he'll know he won't come back into the team straight away. Add to that all of his niggly injuries and I doubt we'll see Tiatto much next season and if we do it will probably mean it's because he's actually doing a good job.

I'm not happy that Tiatto will be staying but the reason he is staying is because RK thinks he can do a job next season and RK has seen more of him than me so I'll trust his judgement for now.
