In case I pop round...

  • A nice mug or cup, preferably a light-coloured one.
  • Yorkshire Tea, loose leaf if you've got the time, but let's face it - who has? So bags are good.
  • Strong please. Give it a good mash.
  • A drop of milk.
  • No sugar.
  • Biscuits are good. Don't go mad - bourbon or custard creams, or a workmanlike digestive will suffice.
  • If we're in the cake-zone, Battenburg goes very well with a brew.

Please avoid the following:

  • Weak or excessively milky tea.
  • Really cheapo tea bags.
  • Pink wafer biscuits.
  • Serving the tea in a terrine or lasagne dish.

Thank you.

Not many people know that General Chat was actually intended to be a discussion group for French cat owners. Its obvious strayed away from intended purpose. :P General Chien went ages ago.

in the same vein most folk think of chat-eau as a castle in a wine region whereas it actually means cat's piss

Wouldn't have happened if I were here my partner in crime (we'll never do time, a sentence for us has to end in a rhyme).

TPH - Keeping threads out of the gutter and maintaining a sense of decorum in GC since 31st July 2006.

Forever fighting the good fight (mop in hand).

Would you care for a biscuit?

Me and food aren't getting on so well at the moment but a chocolate digestive would be lovely so as not to be rude :D

Yesterday I had the best cup of tea ever as part of the best cricket tea ever at one of the most beautiful grounds in Kent. And we stuffed the opposition. Bloody nice crowd. And I got thoroughly tanked up in their lovely country pub afterwards.

Have that you cricket-naysayers!

Apparently I am, despite the copious amounts of sugar I consume.

I drink lots of tea at work.

This is beacuse it makes me piss.

The more tea I drink the more I have to piss, while I am pissing I am not working, this is a good thing.

No biscuits, these absorb liquid that would otherwise end up in the bladder.

If you do pop around make sure you give notice as 'Tea' is not just Tea (at The Singhs or any Singh for that matter) it's alot more......, Tea (the drink) is just a formality or appetizer..............biscuits are usually for show only, samosa's and bhaji's take centre stage.

Tea is drank very fast because traditionally after the tea the beers come out after which maybe the whisky bottle....................
