Bluefoxtim Posted 4 August 2006 Posted 4 August 2006 It is going to be very difficult for me to afford one because my family have never given gifts of astronomical value, like for my birthday I used to get a couple of dvd's and a shirt. Other people would say how they got a hi-fi, £100 cricket bat, 4 games etc etc To be able to afford one, I have the money in my bank (a measly £115.15) then I will need money from all my family for my birthday and christmas which is a week before, which I always thought was shite. Even then I think I would need a big trip down to Ebay. Even after buying the console, still the problem of buying games, controllers etc. I just can't see how people are physically going to be able to afford £425! apart from my ex mr-get-everything-you-want friend. Hopefully after a few months they will realise that they need to put the price down... but then again many people may have decided to buy the other 2 consoles as they are much more affordable. Even the blu-ray is looking increasingly like it will be pushed out by hd-dvd. Edit: where is the Poll I put in?

I have one, and I've told the mrs I love it more then her, she accepts this. Thinking about it you could probabley afford a Wii and a 360 for less money then a PS3!!!
