lol aye Milan is doing a fair bit of arse-licking, but, as you can tell from Master Fox's reaction, it feels goooood ;)

I'm not sure it's arse licking though ? But it's pretty damn good!!!!!

Timeline seems to be:

- MM does DD

- If he decides to still go ahead, he'll then submit a formal offer

- Shareholders get 21 days to respond to that

And we won't get much info in that time, so it's going to be pretty nervy really. I hope DD goes by quickly and the formal bid gets put in, from the way it was accepted by the shareholders at yesterday's meeting (100% of the 36 shareholders present in favour apparently), it doesn't seem like they'll need the full 21 days to make up their minds, but if they do it'll probably be a week later than MM wanted, but still before the Jan transfer window.. if it goes smoothly...

I'm again referring to the interview I saw with him on SSN earlier, and he implied that he's confident him and his lawyers can get the DD nonsense out of the way by the end of next week if every goes according to plan, and he can submit his formal offer the week after, meaning that the shareholders will have until around December 22 (going by Friday as the end of the week as opposed to Sunday) to accept or reject his offer. This is still before the January transfer window, and we could still see MM installed by the 15th December date that has been thrown around the internet

Of course in that time another bidder could come forward...

Aye they could well do so. But why the negative thinking when we are so close to such a positive thing?? I think maybe you need to catch Milan Mandaric Syndrome like me and Master Fox

nana2.gif

Oooh. You tease ever so. :P:smile:

'tis a good point, there's still time for the Tigers...

You pack it in. Do some work. Anything. Just stop the negative thinking and lose all thought of sharing with the egg people. Have a 'nana dance :yesyes:

It's all gone a bit flat for me really, I'd like another bidder to appear just to spice things up a little. ;)

Nothing against Mandy, but this air of inevitability is driving me nuts.

You need to silence yourself. Or splash a lot of cold water on your face. No new bidders please. All aboard the Milan Mandaric express :yesyes:

Please do not jinx it now lwicd, there will be a huge mob of angry people out to get you if this goes pear-shaped because of you

There isn't one already?

No there isn't one already. But I can easily assemble one should you create the jinx which prevents Mandy from taking over  Master Fox was going to kill all of the shareholders if they rejected the bid :o

taking your time to reach 7,000!! ... I'll just have to post congratulations tomorrow!!

<<timeline stuff>>

Again, this all depends on EVERYTHING progressing smoothly. It would be very nice if it did but don't go betting on it. Life is very adept at throwing the occasional bouncer. Who knows what surprises the books may hold

lol yeah I'm well aware of that which is precisely the reason I don't intend on rushing down the bookies and putting a bet on the exact date of the Milan takeover. I was just giving rough outlines based on the comments made by Mandaric himself and the date which is constantly being bounced around the internet.

So you think the books could be fiddled do you DB?? I really hope not 'cos whoever ****s this whole Mandaric thing up after it has come so far will not have an easy time of it at all.

This article from the BBC:

Wolves offered in half-price sale

Wolves' multi-millionaire owner Sir Jack Hayward has reduced his asking price for the club from £40m to £20m.

The 83-year-old told the club's website: "I have always said that if someone comes in with some money we would be prepared to sell.

"Originally we asked for £40m but maybe now we would sell if someone came in with £20m to invest in the club.

"If they could promise that investment for team strengthening, we would be prepared to listen."

The move comes after former Portsmouth owner Milan Mandaric was given the green light to bid for Leicester, effectively ending any interest he had in taking over at Molineux.

But Hayward said: "If Milan Mandaric would like to talk to me I would like to talk to him."

In the meantime, Hayward, who responded to criticism that he had lost interest in the club by claiming it "is still my baby", also promised funds for manager Mick McCarthy.

"I think Mick McCarthy is doing a wonderful job and I am prepared to back him in the January transfer window," said Hayward.

------------------------------------------------------------

Reducing to 20million from 40million is a 50% reduction, but it also 5million less than the figure which has been banded about by the media regarding us - a bid for Wolves would save him 5million quid.

Mandaric has said he will make funds available for transfers, and now Wolves are prepared to listen if this is the case in a deal which would cost less than buying us

He has even mentioned Mandaric's name despite him being accepted by us and him confirming he's ready to sort out the technicalities surrounding his bid.

You don't think that Wolves are possibly trying to hijack our takeover bid and tempt Milan Mandaric to spend less of his cash on them than he would do on us do you?!?! :o:( :(

Too late old man Hayward, Mandaric is never going to take Wolves of your hands. I mean Mandaric and Hayward spent all summer together, they are very good friends and he practically offered to give the club away. Wolves is too risky for Milan, sensibly he has offered for a club (leicester) that is in such a dreadful state that when he arrives he will get instant hero status from the supporters.

I think Hayward wants investment of 20m as well, not loans as MM will be doing with us.

Not to mention that MM wouldn't like being dictated to as to how much to spend etc, for us he could spend 12m (6.5 on shares, 2m on stadium loan/other debts and 3.5m on players/wages) and with some luck and wise spending get us into the Prem by the end of this season... No, I haven't gone mad.

Maybe a little bit
