disheartened fan Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 Lets auction a date with John Barber, bidding starts at £1.20
davieG Posted 17 November 2006 Author Posted 17 November 2006 Lets auction a date with John Barber, bidding starts at £1.20 I'll raise you and bid 99p
lcfc_jme Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 I bid a fiver for a date with John Barber based on his reporting about the MM saga and, if he does a good job with info from tomorrows EGM, I will increase my bid by another pound and give him a free packet of jammie dodgers
davieG Posted 18 November 2006 Author Posted 18 November 2006 From another forum According to the early front page edition of the Mercury, there was a board meeting last night and the directors backed the Manderic bid, and will recommend this to the shareholders today.
Lets Be having You Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 Leicester City's board of directors are backing tycoon Milan Mandaric in his £25m takeover bid for the club. The recommendation, which was agreed at a special board meeting last night, will be put to the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders later today. The meeting of the 48 shareholders is being held before this afternoon's clash with Preston at the Walkers Stadium. This is the positive step that the fans have been waiting to see. Legal technicalities mean that today's EGM cannot make the final decision on the offer, but the board have made their position clear. One board member told me: "We felt it was about time we took the lead in this. The shareholders elected us on to the board to make decisions and act in what we feel are the best interests of the club."
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 I knew that home video would come back to haunt me. On a less serious note, it'll be interesting to see whether they announce anything at the ground before kick-off. That would be a really strange thing.
