Guest seanfox778 Posted 22 November 2006 Posted 22 November 2006 I'm interested in the sponsorship and kit manufacturers we could attract with Milan in charge. When we were bottom of the pile Bukta we moved onto Fox Leisure, then Le Coq Sportiff, then JJB. All of them cheap and nasty. Hopefully he will banish the one year cycle too. yeh because portsmouth have had fantastic kit manufacturers
Isopen Posted 22 November 2006 Posted 22 November 2006 All the know is what was printed in a tabloid paper over three weeks ago? Pretty shoddy journalism, especially with information published on the FT website, on BBC Radio Leicester and even in a few of their articles which perhaps Bill was looking the other way for... My suspicion is growing. It's about time Bill Anderson learnt the difference between a) Public Relations - which is the service he is currently offering MM and b) Journalism - which is supposed to be his job, where he asks challenging questions. Maybe Bill would like to read a fellow journo's piece below & then ask him why he thinks Wolves are a better bet? http://www.expressandstar.co.uk/2006/11/20...o-pursue-foxes/
Foxes_Trust Posted 22 November 2006 Posted 22 November 2006 All the know is what was printed in a tabloid paper over three weeks ago? Pretty shoddy journalism, especially with information published on the FT website, on BBC Radio Leicester and even in a few of their articles which perhaps Bill was looking the other way for... My suspicion is growing. We find his pieces incredible at times, tonight he states "Then City boss Robert Kelly will be able to use funds he was not expecting so he can boost the squad in January, the club will have the millstone of the stadium debt removed from around their neck, and the fans can hope that the similarity with Portsmouth will go a lot further than just the colours of the strip." None of the 48 shareholders know the details of how MM plans to finance the stadium, MM has to negotiate with Teachers first. so how can BA claim that !
Swedging Posted 22 November 2006 Posted 22 November 2006 It's about time Bill Anderson learnt the difference between a) Public Relations - which is the service he is currently offering MM and b) Journalism - which is supposed to be his job, where he asks challenging questions. Maybe Bill would like to read a fellow journo's piece below & then ask him why he thinks Wolves are a better bet? http://www.expressandstar.co.uk/2006/11/20...o-pursue-foxes/ As you imply, the committing money was always going to be the sticking point - whether it was £40 million or £20 million. It looks like he's paying £3.3 million for Leicester. And then whatever he chooses to loan the club. And only paying the shareholders the rest if he reaches the promised land. Why would he ever choose Wolves if those are the 2 deals?
Louise Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 I really must be coming down with flu, I think I blinked and I missed the takeover: ...Madejski confirmed he is prepared to sell the club one day.But he strongly denied rumours that former Portsmouth owner Milan Mandaric showed an interest before buying Leicester City for around £25 million recently. "That's not true, there is no interest," insisted Madejski. "One or two people have tried to use us as an idea to get other investors involved but that's all. "They ring you up acting like a middle man. They ask for details and promise to find somebody. "But none of that is serious and I'm becoming concerned about these people who want to publish glossy brochures and tout our name around. "The fact is, if there is someone out there, they know where I am. I want this to be organic and it has to be right. "In all honesty, I don't think anything will happen this season so it will probably be the one after that." http://icberkshire.icnetwork.co.uk/0275rea...-name_page.html Oh well, at least it's all done and dusted
lookwhaticando Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 I really must be coming down with flu, I think I blinked and I missed the takeover: Oh well, at least it's all done and dusted Our number one fact finder managed to miss something. It's like finding out there's no Santa.
Swedging Posted 23 November 2006 Posted 23 November 2006 I really must be coming down with flu, I think I blinked and I missed the takeover: Oh well, at least it's all done and dusted Madejski has been pretty honest in his dealings with Reading - even though it sticks in my craw to admit it. He's said the club is for sale - at he right price. He's suggested £100 million - probably £30-50 million is what he's aiming for. Never a deal to attract Mandaric. £3.3 million for Leicester is much more appealling - and the chance to change things with, say, £5-15 million much more realistic.
lcfc_jme Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 That Reading bloke is much better than that bloke from Wolves. But none of 'em are good enough for Milan. It's only a matter of time now before he's in charge and we start climbing the league
Master Fox Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 That Reading bloke is much better than that bloke from Wolves. But none of 'em are good enough for Milan. It's only a matter of time now before he's in charge and we start climbing the league No dancing today JME??
lcfc_jme Posted 24 November 2006 Posted 24 November 2006 No dancing today JME?? I almost forgot, sorry Master Fox Lets have a dance for Uncle Milan
Lester LXXIV Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 I've been away on a course with work since last sunday and have been cut off totally from the outside world! Can someone tell me where we are at with the deal please?
davieG Posted 25 November 2006 Author Posted 25 November 2006 I've been away on a course with work since last sunday and have been cut off totally from the outside world! Can someone tell me where we are at with the deal please? Read this
Lester LXXIV Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Read this So no change from last sunday when I left then?
Bert Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 Well. If what you knew last Sunday is the same then, no. If what you knew last Sunday is different then, yes.
Mort Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 So Should this all be sorted by the end of the week now or what?
Louise Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 He might be out of due dilligence by the end of the week (although that seems unlikely, if things haven't happened by next Saturday I will start thinking that MM is going a little cold on the deal, or making us sweat for telling him there are other bids), no chance it'll be finished by the end of the week, there are a required 21 days after he submits a formal offer for the shareholders to accept/reject. Probably accept if the EGM is anything to go by but... That's assuming that after seeing the books and performances he doesn't pull out or lower his offer.
Daggers Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 He might be out of due dilligence by the end of the week... If anyone can find out what's going on, then I have faith in you Lou!
Louise Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 I'll get out my binoculars then. As I know how much you love communications from the Foxes Trust, they posted on another forum on Thursday: Spoke to the club yesterday, progress is slow so far, hence nothing really to report
Phube Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 Two words (and a puntuation mark): Jamie Redknapp?
lookwhaticando Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 Two words (and a puntuation mark): Jamie Redknapp? That's the rumour. It appeared in the News of the World, though, so take with a huge pinch of salt... ... or perhaps a whole bag full of salt.
Craig Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 NOTW Usually speak rubbish. Wasn't that the reaction when they reported before anyone else that Mandaric was interested?
