Cal Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 Get in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So what happens next then?
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 Milan buys the shares I guess now that the board have agreed its the right deal. When that happens...bob, no Milan's your uncle
London_Fox Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 Well Milan's men look at the books and then, assuming there hasn't been any dogdy stuff going on, he buys out the shareholders and the club is his. On interesting thing is that the rumours about Alan Curbishley have faded away...anyone heard anything?

London_Fox Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 There was talk of MM bringing in Curbishley with him originally when all this started up (seems like ages ago now) but i'm sure I heard it on here...anyone else or just wishful thinking?

lcfc_jme Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 Milan is an absolute legend. Just heard a live interview with him on Sky Sports News and he has basically said: He's thrilled to have been given the backing of the shareholders He is planning on putting all of the money he received from Portsmouth into us as he cannot take it back to America with him He will leave Rob Kelly in charge because he feels Kelly is doing a good job and only needs some support (obviously financially he is talking about) He chose us 'cos we are very similar supporters to Pompey - passionate, dedicated and loyal He will do everything humanly possible in order to get us back to the Premiership where we belong He hopes to complete a takeover soon and could possibly be at the Derby game on Saturday
Daggers Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 He chose us 'cos we are very similar supporters to Pompey - passionate, dedicated and loyal He hasn't read some of the Kelly threads on the forum then
lcfc_jme Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 He hasn't read some of the Kelly threads on the forum then evidently not Maybe it's best if he doesn't find out about them But they were his comments on SSN so I just thought I'd try to pass them on
Swedging Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 He hasn't read some of the Kelly threads on the forum then Nor. presumably, listened to some of the Pompey mob.

This is just excellent news!! Time for nice big glass of claret!!
Daggers Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 A takeover by Derby is out of the question, before January is pushing it and relying on everything to run smoothly...but life never runs smoothly. He still has to look at the books and decide if it is still worth making an formal bid. Then it has to be referred back to the shareholders...this is not a quick process. For those of you still displaying a rather mixed up time-frame for this let me make it simple: It will take longer than getting you check-back from a mobile phone company.
lcfc_jme Posted 18 November 2006 Posted 18 November 2006 To confirm, this is the part of the interview that SSN are showing on their news broadcasts: MM: "There are a couple of hurdles left to overcome. It's a public company, we need to do what we have to do as far as legalities, but I am confident that we will be there shortly and I look forward to being part of great football city Leicester." SSN: "Well Milan, as far as I gather Mr. Gaydamak at Portsmouth gave you a considerable amount of money, which you have now taken. Are you putting that money into Leicester? Is that going to be the plan?" MM: "Well, I am unable to take this money back to America so I may as well put it in the right place, and I think there is no better place than those wonderful supporters of Leicester, so I think that will be the case."
