I knew that home video would come back to haunt me.

On a less serious note, it'll be interesting to see whether they announce anything at the ground before kick-off. That would be a really strange thing.

The club will issue a statement after today's meeting so that City fans at the game should know exactly where the club stands on the issue.

Yeah I'd seen that, just wondering how they're going to do it though. It all depends on when the statement is released. I still can't see them announcing anything at the ground - it's not final enough. If, as seems almost certain, the board approve the bid, the club surely still wouldn't want the shareholders' decision to be swayed either way by the fans' reaction. Just seems a bit unprofessional to me. Having said that, I'm sure the vast majority of fans would welcome an announcement at the ground. This is just another example of how you can't please all of the people all of the time - the Foxes Trust will know that feeling.

I think the announcement is suugested to be after the shareholders meeting, would that affect the shareholders?

If the board are recommending a yes vote and the shareholders don't accept, it leaves the board out on a limb and heads should/would/could roll.

I frankly don't believe any of them put their hard-earned in 4 years ago in the belief they would ever see their cash again, let alone make a profit.

I have a personal aquaintance who owns £50k of shares and I spoke to him briefly this week - He is a man with the best interests of Leicester City FC at heart - Doesn't give a bugger if he gets nil or £25k or £50k or £75k back. He also reckons he is going to vote "No" because......... "This Mandaric deal is nothing like it's been portrayed in the press"

Food for thought and let's not believe it's a done deal just yet

Because of the formalities and complexities it must be understood that no definitive decision will be reached at the EGM on Saturday in respect of any of the proposals. In the event that following the shareholders meeting Mr. Mandaric wishes to pursue his indicative offer he must circulate a formal offer document and shareholders will have a minimum period of 21 days to accept or reject it. The alternative proposals will also have their own time lines as required by the law. We cannot get ahead of ourselves and try to rush this. As a public limited company the club is bound by well-established principles of governance and the Directors are responsible for ensuring that due process is followed. It may seem tortuous to those seeking clarity of direction but it is nonetheless a process understood by those involved."

Could have a positive effect on todays game if it was announced before hand, Players need to cement their places within the starting 11.

Official Leicester City Statement

An extraordinary general meeting of shareholders was held by Leicester City Football Club Plc at the Walkers Stadium today.

Shareholders debated a number of issues in relation to generating increased investment into the football club and have therefore welcomed Mr Mandaric's approach.

Milan Mandaric's approach has been given the green light and he will be granted access to the clubs books for the period requested by him.

The shareholders wish to make it clear that they have, are and will continue to act in the best interests of the football club at all times.

Their paramount concern is to protect, safeguard and develop the future of our great football club.

Further announcements will be made in due course.

That statement has been issued pretty quickly, so it is right that I can go round thinking that there is a vast majority/complete backing for MM's bid.
