surrifox Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 I think Hayward wants investment of 20m as well, not loans as MM will be doing with us. And someone (the new owner) would have to take over the loans guaranteed by Hayward which would be bundles of dosh

And what's left is easily supportable without directors' guarantees
Mort Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 Wolves don't have much debt at all - Hayward wrote off some £38 million in 2001. And what's left is easily supportable without directors' guarantees Why dont you just become a Wolves fan then? ...to be honest you seem to be looking for reasons to oppose the Mandaric take-over.
fox123 Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 If MM is going to come to watch the Derby game, I hope we put in a good performance :pinch: If he is going to come to go to the game and we don't do well, he may think this team needs some quality in there! On the other hand if we do, do well he may think well i havent got to invest to much at an early stage! I also think that if he is there the players have got to put in a huge performance because it's there necks on the line, and im sure he'll know from watching the midfield where we need bolstering up!
The People's Hero Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 He might buy Derby if he watches that game. Better to keep him away and keep feeding him the Cup final victory videos. Black velvet. If you please. (which I do).
Fox in a Box Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 Hi, OK, lets hope the the deal can be concluded in a reasonable time frame and that all parties move onwards and upwards. The question im asking is that the FOXESTRUST have an amount of money (as shares) that they cannot bank and I'd like to know (as someone who actually gave my backing and cash) what the are going to do with the money that may come to them. As true fans of LCFC a good use would be a memorial to players of the past, Rowley, Weller, Sep Smith etc (not being a statue of one person but a collective Epitaph (An epitaph is the inscription or some other tribute to a dead person or persons). That would act as a lasting reminder and a good use of the cash.
Swedging Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 Why dont you just become a Wolves fan then? It's always helpful to be overly-optimistic when supporting Leicester, that's true. But you seem to have gone well over the edge if you think any facts entered into a debate are reason to support another club.

Remember though the payment to the shareholders is phased, so we wouldn't get all the value back next year.
davieG Posted 20 November 2006 Author Posted 20 November 2006 Link Mandaric looks at the books but table makes sad reading David Hopps at the Walkers Stadium Monday November 20, 2006 The Guardian Leicester City have given Milan Mandaric permission to look at their books but they should ban him from looking at the league table. After Ipswich's win yesterday they have now been pushed down into 18th place, just the sort of slump to tempt the former Portsmouth owner to knock a million or two off his takeover offer.Mandaric has given the Leicester board a Christmas deadline to complete the takeover negotiations and it is a good bet that he will soon be donning the red cloak and long white beard with a view to doling out a few carefully costed presents. Leicester's 48 shareholders have been mollified by Mandaric's assurance that they will receive back the £6.6m that they invested three years ago to save the club from administration. That was enough for the board to encourage a formal bid on Friday and for shareholders to follow suit before Saturday's game. Add a bit for transfers and if, as has been indicated, Mandaric has no wish to buy back the Walkers Stadium his bid is unlikely to be much more than £10m.The Serbian-American businessman must now make a formal offer and the shareholders have 21 days to accept or reject it. "If the shareholders will make the deal with me they will get their money back," he said. "I might be there for five years, 10 years, 15 years - at my age I cannot be sure - but, when I leave, the club will be in far better shape than it is now. If I am not in charge by Christmas then I will not be there." Mandaric, at 68, remains sport's serial romancer, now professing love for the people of Leicester, just as he has done for the followers of Portsmouth, St Louis Cardinals, San Jose Earthquakes and, latterly, NK Koper, a Slovenian first division side. It is only two months since he sold Portsmouth and already he is feeling frisky again. It is to be hoped he loves Leicester's fans so much that he finds somewhere for them to park on the days, such as Saturday, when the Tigers are also playing rugby union at home at nearby Welford Road. "It is not only that I am the right man for Leicester, it is that Leicester is the right club for me," he sweet-talked BBC local radio. "I fell in love with the supporters at Portsmouth over 7½ years and I have a feeling that Leicester people are very similar. They are very hard-working and passionate. I feel I am one of them." Quite why buying a football club has to sound like something out of Hello! magazine is hard to fathom but the average football supporter's yearning for a sugar daddy knows no bounds. Leicester will not be revived easily, though. Their dedication and resilience under the management of Rob Kelly is undeniable; it is just that they lack craft. Of an energetic, occasionally niggly and ultimately unsatisfying match, there is not much worth telling. Preston, joint top with Cardiff, dominated the first half-hour, scoring through Patrick Agyemang, who scrambled the ball home after Sean St Ledger's shot hit a post. Leicester's attempts to level did not amount to much: Carlo Nash tipped over Stephen Hughes's 20-yard shot at the end of the first half and grabbed Iain Hume's stabbed effort at the end of the second. Matty Fryatt also scuffed a 10-yard shot, enough for him to admonish himself for the defeat. Man of the match Milan Mandaric (Leicester City, provisional)
Master Fox Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 Man of the matchMilan Mandaric (Leicester City, provisional) Nice one Milan

Remember though the payment to the shareholders is phased, so we wouldn't get all the value back next year. Phased or whatever people dipped in there pockets.... and its sounds as if Mandy has long pockets and short arms if its phased! Assuming this then The Trust Board will come up with a range of options. Any thoughts so far? I say a permanent reminder of Dave Bassett a bronze statue, and when you go passed him he stutters and talks utter rubbish! Surely the foxestalk gang could come up with a few ideas * is it only current foxestrust member who get to vote? surely some people put monies in and have rights!!!!
Mack Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 They are dragging their heals and Manadaric is going to get frustrated and pump his money into somewhere else. What is wrong with these numpties? The current farts get their investment back and we get a club where there will be some exitement and the so much needed investment pumped in. Crack on you old gits before it' too bloody late!

They're just going through the normal business protocols, it would be the same for any club he was taking over, Besides the pace of the takeover is now all down to MM whilst he looks at the books. So calm downl

Haven't you heard the news over the weekend?
ithuriel Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 once he has read and digested the books he will take fright and vanish , he will be known has ,' missing milan , the mandaric man.' then marting goerge will buy the club with i.o.u's and give rob kelly £250 to spend in the transfer market while stating to the mockery that substantial funds have been made available for new players

"i find it hard to come up with my own opinions so i quote random people after eavesdropping" said one shit reporter
gatesheadfox Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 'this' was supposed to be a link to article on thisisleicestershire.com called WILL A NEW ERA PUT A STOP TO ALL THIS FRUSTRATION? its bloody awful
Mack Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 Point taken. Probably dont know as much as some of you so maybe I should just shut up. Just seems to be taking so long, meetings then more meetings then statements then more statements. How long does it take the current owners to say 'OK here are the books have a look and if you still fancy it then we will sell' ? Seems to have taken an age just to get to there! The guy will be great for the club and everyone connected, he has proven he is a football man and has a pedigree. When you see what some bastard owners have done to their clubs then surely it's a 'no-brainer'. Just get the bloke in!!

"i find it hard to come up with my own opinions so i quote random people after eavesdropping" said one shit reporter oh no , what ive said is true , i dreamt it last night and then a bird crapped on my bedroom window , it was a sign im thinking of telling bill anderson tomorrow for the mockery. it will probably be reported as ' reliable source speaks of a dream future for leicester , by george.'
AyewJoking Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 I'm interested in the sponsorship and kit manufacturers we could attract with Milan in charge. When we were bottom of the pile Bukta we moved onto Fox Leisure, then Le Coq Sportiff, then JJB. All of them cheap and nasty. Hopefully he will banish the one year cycle too.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 My uncle is a Liason Officer(a glorified steward) at the City and was around whilst the EGM was ongoing, and he told me today that Martin George walked out of the EGM because he was against Mandaric buying the club. This is not bull**** by the way. Martin George what a plonker.
Louise Posted 20 November 2006 Posted 20 November 2006 AT said that all of the shareholders at the meeting (36) were in favour, and the Merc said that that constituted to 95% of the shares.

This is my uppermost concern aswell.
