oundlefox Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 Just watched Match of the Day and Thatcher's clothes line on Pompey's Mendes. Christ, hospitalised the guy. There's tought nuts and there's idiots. Think Thatcher comes into the latter. Muppet!!!
OBO Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 Absolutely sickening, boiled my blood watching that. I hope he gets a serious ban, dirty cheat.
Bert Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 Yes he was a good player for us and would still do a job, but there is no room for that in football.
oundlefox Posted 23 August 2006 Author Posted 23 August 2006 Think he's been spending too much time with that well known Man City fan Ricky Hatton. Even Hatton hasn't stuck one on somebody like that for a while. Stuart Pearce was a tough left-back but I bet even he cringed at that. At least Thatcher will get the whole of September off when the FA slap him with a lengthy ban.
Libertine Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 He can't though can he? He's been booked so the FA can't punish him now.
Ultra Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 Absolutely sickening, boiled my blood watching that. I hope he gets a serious ban, dirty cheat. He deserves it, but won't get it, as the fcukwit referee (Dermot Gallagher) only thought the challenge merited a yellow card. What the hell would he have to have done to earn a red one? We must have some of the most imbecilic match officials on the planet!
ithuriel Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 anybody watching match-of-the-day this evening cant have missed that disgraceful so called tackle by thatcher that put a player in hospital. no attempt to play the ball , just elbow the guy in the neck below the chin and leave him sprawled out against an advertising board. im glad that thuggish lout wasnt at city for very long. personally i wouldnt mind seeing thatcher banned for at least a season for something that would have landed a bloke in the street in court and possibly prison.
oundlefox Posted 23 August 2006 Author Posted 23 August 2006 He looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth in the shot. Disgrace
wooo Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 i seen it, it was disgraceful he needs sorting out for that
Ultra Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 Can't remember him being as psychotic as that when he was with us!
Knighton Matt Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 If you did that in the street or pub you'd be up against a stack of criminal charges. Outrageous.
London_Fox Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 I didn't think so many people would get here before me but that was insane...its been a long time since I saw something like that in the premiership (including last season). Utterly horrendous!
Syko Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 it even worse when if i remember correctly he got very upset about Ashley Coles challenge which was on him
Shum Posted 24 August 2006 Posted 24 August 2006 That was nothing short of disgraceful. He was brilliant for us, but he should be punished to the maximum for what he did. Shocking.
Head Honcho Posted 24 August 2006 Posted 24 August 2006 <_< There be hatred in them eyes! Christ what did he say to him to deserve that? Nice to see the game going back to the old skool though where a proper challenge didn't even warrant a whistle. Maybe we can finally get rid of all the namby pamby's ruining the game with all their diving and whinging.
