Manwell Pablo Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 :-0 Stilian Petrov is one thing, but Javier Saviola as well! The top four should start sweating, I think Villa and Pompey could soon be up there.
lildave3 Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Pompey won't be there for long, Harry's retiring soon and as soon as he does, pompey are in trouble
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 August 2006 Author Posted 29 August 2006 Pompey won't be there for long, Harry's retiring soon and as soon as he does, pompey are in trouble Well he's under contract until 2009 so unless there is something you know that he and Porstmouth don't..........
oundlefox Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Harry's obviously coming to the Walkers with Mandaric
lildave3 Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Well he's under contract until 2009 so unless there is something you know that he and Porstmouth don't.......... i thought he only signed a one year contract extension in the summer? o well, i was wrong
Gené and Tonic Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 I want to see MON do well, and if that means Villa doing well then so be it. A bloody fantastic signing for them if it happens.
Master Fox Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 Harry's obviously coming to the Walkers with Mandaric yeah i heard that
dandannieldanok Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 ......... I don't see why you are puzzled, Defoe needs games and that is what he will get at Villa. Coming on from the bench at Spurs is affecting his sharpness in front of goal. With Mido arriving also, it is surely a good move for all parties: Tottenham - Get quite a bit of money England - Defoe will be sharper and have more confidence A Villa - Getting simply a very good striker
Ric Flair Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 I hope Villa do sign Defoe because i've got him in my dream team and I want him to start bastard playing!
filbertway Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 He's assembling quite the team Villa for a top 8 place this season?

Mort Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 The Mirror's saying MON's looking to make a £6million offer for Defoe from Spurs ...be a very good and high profile signing, not as though Jol seems to rate him that highly.
OBO Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 I want to see MON do well, and if that means Villa doing well then so be it. I agree! The bloke is an absolute legend and I hope he does great things with Villa. Even if they're not my absolute favourite team (far from it in fact) It'd be nice to see MON make something interesting happen in the top half of the Prem.
dandannieldanok Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 He's assembling quite the team Villa for a top 8 place this season? I can easily see them getting 5th or 6th place this season if these signings come through. However they are in damn good form with the current crop showing how good MON is and how bad DOL was.
lildave3 Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 Perhaps wrong place for this, but if MON had took over at Derby or Forest, would you still want him to do well?
Stevosevic Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 Perhaps wrong place for this, but if MON had took over at Derby or Forest, would you still want him to do well? no because he is too good for those clubs at the moment. O'Neill has the chance to prove what a great manager he is in the premierhship.
surrifox Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 no because he is too good for those clubs at the moment. O'Neill has the chance to prove what a great manager he is in the premierhship. Agony . Love MON hate Villa- what to do?
Dr The Singh Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 Agony . Love MON hate Villa- what to do? I know the feeling..........I just try and not think about it!!!!
lookwhaticando Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 Agony . Love MON hate Villa- what to do? I know the feeling..........I just try and not think about it!!!! The answer is simple. I want Villa to fail. He'll leave, and have to manage another team - a more acceptable one like Boro, who'll also probably need a new manager in a year or two. Anyone but a London team, or any team south of Northampton really, or Forest/Derby/Coventry.
Ultra Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 The answer is simple. I want Villa to fail. Tough. It won't happen. But we shouldn't give a monkey's about Villa. What happens in the Premiership should be irrelevant to us until the FOXES are back there!
