lookwhaticando Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Where you seeing the team? I don't see it. Anyways, it doesn't sound too bad... our Weso's come in to boss this game about. He's gonna play a blinder, win a penalty, then get substitued 10 minutes from time to a standing ovation from both sets of supporters! I got a good feeling about this one

If you have a good feeling, we're in heaps of trouble Nah just joking. Good to hear Weso is starting, at least it's one step in the right direction from RK. A bit suprised to see Hume dropping to the bench though, maybe Kelly is expecting a tough and physical game (hence bringing COG into the starting lineup).
Mark Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Subs: Logan, McAuley, Tiatto, Hume, Maybury. No Stearman. Some great options available to change the game if needed.
Lester LXXIV Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Subs: Logan, McAuley, Tiatto, Hume, Maybury. No Stearman. Some great options available to change the game if needed. So no Low or Stearman on the bench? Effin gr8! Both central midfielders are defensive type players aren't they?? Still wanna see Hume play attacking mid! 2-0 Mackems!
Finnegan Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 The O'Grady / Fryatt partnership's begining to piss me off. Fryatt and Hume I can see working and O'Grady and Hume I can see working. But where the hell is the pace in an O'Grady / Fryatt partnership? Hardly going to scare the life out of an opposing back line. I rate Fryatt, I really do, but he's not exactly explosive.
Lester LXXIV Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Well i'm gonna try not listening to the matchlive console today, I didn't start listening to the WBA game til the second half then we threw it away! Sky sports News for me...

Thracian Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Subs: Logan, McAuley, Tiatto, Hume, Maybury. No Stearman. Some great options available to change the game if needed. He could play three up front with Porter, Weso and Tiatto in midfield later on and that sort of potential 4-3-3 might be as attacking as we could hope for in the circumstances. It's mainly Hughes that bothers me, and the lack of passing from the back. There's some think the idea of "Chosen Men" is a myth but today's selection is further evidence to my mind especially as Hughes has always been ordinary-to-awful on right midfield when I've seen him. Stearman - the "best young player the boss has worked with" - is not even in the squad which doesn't surprise me but it does beg the question again of whether we'd have been best to cash him in when we had the chance.

I agree, are Stearman and Low injured??
Master Fox Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Does anyone have a Radio link for today's match?

Sky sports News for me... Careful you don't stay away from the TV for too long... You wouldn't want to miss all the updates about the many goals we're likely to score :pinch:
Thracian Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 I agree, are Stearman and Low injured?? Their pride should be hurt at the very least!
Mark Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Does anyone have a Radio link for today's match? Sunderland commentary any good?
Master Fox Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Sunderland commentary any good? I would rather some biased Leicester commentary and that link is really poor quality
Finnegan Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 If Radio Leicester's going to be up it isn't working yet. I can't get it to connect yet.
Master Fox Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 If Radio Leicester's going to be up it isn't working yet. I can't get it to connect yet. The BBC?
Bert Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Come on boys, a bit of belief is all it takes, we know we're good enough to do this!!
Phube Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 But Hughes was THE worst against Hull.... I'm beggining to believe in the Thracian chosen men model!!
London_Fox Posted 16 September 2006 Posted 16 September 2006 Kelly likes to play with width on one side and a narrow left sided player (Tiatto). Surely Hughes being narrow and Porter wide is a better option. I know AJ hasn't really impressed but alongside Weso at least our midfield should battle and be hard to get past...and Weso might shame AJ into working harder and putting in proper tackles...i'm sticking to my One-Nil prediction for us...COME ON CITY!!
