breaker7 Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 Reading today's free paper I see MON has said Hendrie could go on loan to QPR or Palace. Why is it we're not in for him - do you think we are ? Is it the old no money problem again ? I don't see why QPR (or Palace really) should get him over Leicester Any ideas ?

Jon the Hat Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 Well, you could read the previous thread from when the story actually broke last week and comment in there...
Daggers Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 <Manwell Breaths Deeply> You're really going to do yourself a mischief if you keep bottling this all up MP...why don't you let it all out and tell us how you really feel
The People's Hero Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 We could kidnap him. And make him change his stupid hair.
breaker7 Posted 27 September 2006 Author Posted 27 September 2006 Ok - lesson learnt - I wont bother starting any new threads, given how friendly you lot are. The QPR, Palace link I believed was a new development in the Lee Henderie going out on loan saga (I've not read anything on that before) so thats why I sarted a new thread. Looking back through the forum there are numerous similarly titled topics (Andy Johnson based, crap midfield based, sack the board based) so why all the stick for posting this new Lee Hendrie information ? I didn't think QPR were rolling in it so thats why I re-asked the "no-money question" as if QPR get him clearly he's not too expensive ! So maybe next time hold off on some of the anger ! Cheers
The People's Hero Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 Are you Tim Breaker? If so, sod Lee Hendrie, we'll sign you.

Shipman Out Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 Hendrie would be a very good loan signing, a box to box energetic midfielder who can score goals, certainly something we do not have and something we desperately need. It was blatent before the season started our midfield was looking very weak without gudjohnsson, a slow past it Johnson (who most people seemed happy with !!!) Hughes is useless weak so in and out its unbelievable. Hendrie would add much needed dynamism to a sulking, moping midfield that plays like a stropy teenager after 6 spliffs. The money is again a matter for the board and for the ambition of the club to achieve something this season other than staying in the league, if people seriously think it is impossible to afford a player on loan for 3-6 months then my case is made. Its a matter of confidence and ambition and literary wheeling and dealing get some out move some mountains wake the place up a bit including us fans. If there is no way whatsoever to raise the finance why as fans dont we hear noises coming out of the club about much needed investment and that the club is available to buy? Without parachute payments where does the club expect to make the money? without investment in the team certainly wont be through a promotion. It seems that surviving is simply enough forget any ambition. This is not enough we must do more, where is this club gonna be in 3 years? If we start winning wont the home gate go up? I simply do not accept the fact that moves cannot be made, get someone out on loan do something to make the option available to RK, Hendrie would be very good in CM with Weso. In 3 years at this rate of investment will we be a League one side on and off the pitch?
Ric Flair Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Sadly everyone, he's signed for the mighty and wealthy Stoke City!!
Master Fox Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Sadly everyone, he's signed for the mighty and wealthy Stoke City!! Unbelievable
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Sadly everyone, he's signed for the mighty and wealthy Stoke City!! They're richer than us..... Stoke City are richer than us. What a sad sad sentance.

Dr The Singh Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 I don't know whether money had anything to do with it, because i'm sure Palace were interested in him, and they are richer then Stoke!! I can imagine the signing of Asaba taking up all funds being a reason why we didn't pursue Hendry. Overall, i'm very disapointed, he ws the type of player we could have done with, he would have lifted all the spirits of the fans and players etc!!!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 ****ing joke that is. You can see the twats somehow financing a permanent deal for some League One attacking midfielder or Premiership youngster on loan in January by which time we're comfortably lodged in the bottom three and things look utterly dire.

It doesn't really matter, as long as they have the funds to meet the percentage of his wages Villa wanted it doesn't matter who is the richest. Unless of course you don't have a brass razoo, in which case your ballsed.
The People's Hero Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 How many of the board are drawing salaries?

That sentence just about sums up Leicester City at the moment. It's bloody awful really.

Dr The Singh Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 I'd wait and see if we sign him first Singhy my boy. Mystic Singh, tells me the deals done, it will be on the OS by midday and he will be starting tommrow!! For once I hope Mystic Singh is wrong, not that he has ever been right but there's always a first!!!
Ric Flair Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 How many of the board are drawing salaries? All of them.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 I might apply for a place on the board. I've got 10p in one-pence pieces on my desk. How's that?
