potter3 Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 I think pretty much everyone is agreed that Porter, Wesolowski, Williams and Hume must all start. Ready made midfield
MBK Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 well honestly thing is in all chance we re either looking at a draw which is quite a good possibility considering that we ve conceded less goals then cardiff, birmingham (correct if i m wrong), so possibly it is the attacking midf dept that we should look it....so if you re somehow agreeing that AJ is much better possibility than tiatto, it is only fair to assume that the attack is the only area to be tampered with...so hume and dodds is a good mixture in a formation of 4-2-3-1 Logan stearman-mcauley-nissa-kenton johnson-weso hume-williams-porter dodds/hammond/fryatt/o grady(dnt really care which because they all offer something that the side needs ideally give fryatt a rest and a chance honest on the bench which however good he is, will give him more hunger not only to be in the side but to push himself more...something hume should have learnt from his time on the bench) i d go for dodds for the sake of what his academy compats have given so far
SystonFox Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Logan (looks solid) Stearman - McCarthy - Kenton - Nils Levi - Williams - Weso - Tiatto (if fit) ---------Hume ----- COG ------------- Subs; Hendo, Hammond, Hughes, McAuley, Maybury. edit : if tiatto is not fit, send levi out left and get J Low on the right. if williams is not fit, swap with hughes or johnson.
Guest Gist Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Henderson Kenton McCarthy McAuley Nisse Low Williams Weso Porter Hume Fryatt Replace Fryatt with O'Grady if he is out.
Ultra Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Why is everyone suddenly pro-Williams? Name ONE decent league game he's had this season! This is the team I'd predict: Logan Kenton McCarthy McAuley Johansson Low Wesolowski Tiatto Porter Hume Hammond Subs: Henderson, Stearman, Maybury, Williams, O'Grady
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Not sure I like the idea of playing 3 strikers from the start. I'd like to see how a Fryatt - O'Grady partnership would work for the first half and then Hume can always be subbed for Low at 50-60mins. I think we will get raped nonetheless, so keeping a strong back four is crucial. It'd be great if we could pull something off this round. The Cardiff lads across the border need the breathing space as well, innit

McCarthy/McAuley to continue at CB.
SystonFox Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Why is everyone suddenly pro-Williams? Name ONE decent league game he's had this season! cos hughes and johnson are both bollocks so far. williams has a good range of passing, has some skill and vision and can hit a ball pretty well. he just needs to get more involved and look lively. its always been said he is potentioly the best player at the club. and hes been injured so i think hes not played since burnley?

This is the team I'd predict: Logan Kenton McCarthy McAuley Johansson Low Wesolowski Tiatto Porter Hume Hammond Subs: Henderson, Stearman, Maybury, Williams, O'Grady Pro-Williams? ONE decent game? bit hard as he has only played ONE and a HALF games. He was alright in the first HALF against Burnleah but had to go off injured and has not been seen since. Anything is better than the pair of jesters we have been playing since, im sure most of my fellow FOXES ( ) would agree. We want to see a bit of flair down at "The Way" ( ) and he can provide it.

DannyLCFC1 Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 My Team would be Logan Stearman McCarthy McAuley Kenton Hume Williams Weso Porter Hammond Fryatt 4-4-2 for start then you could always shove hume up later
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Yeah cos that worked so well against Colchester. Besides, I can't see Fryatt playing going by reports. Hume MUST start. Not sure if it will make a difference - I hope it will. Hume started Luton and Burnley and it was only when he was rested for the first half against Ipswich did he come out guns blazing.
breadandcheese Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Where has all the talk of defensive strength come in? We've played our last few games against the attacking threats of Colchester, Hereford, Hull (who sat back to hit us on the counter) and a Sunderland team who are shocking at home. Out of that, we have suddenly become defensively strong. I am not so sure.

Out of that, we have suddenly become defensively strong. I am not so sure. It's the usual flannel the managers churn out when they are under pressure. Levein did it about this time last season about how we'd sorted our defence out and all we had to now do was sort the strikers out. In truth we'd just got lucky in defence and soon after that was proved.
Collymore Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 1-0 Leicester written all over this one. come on city!!!
Lester LXXIV Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 1-0 Leicester written all over this one. come on city!!! They have suspensions too, always positive Brum Players Out
shen Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Rab Maybury McAuley McCarthy Nissa Sylla Johnson Hughes Tiatto Hammond O'Grady Subs: Hendo, Stearman, Low, Asaba, Williams If our lineup could be any worse, that one would be it! I suspect RK will pack the midfield against Brum and play this side: Logan Kenton McAuley McCarthy Nissa Low Tiatto Johnson Weso Porter O'Grady Subs: Hendo, Hughes, Stearman, Hume, Maybury
Jyry Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 My choice will be: --------------------------Henderson---------------------------- ------Maybury-------Mcauley---Mccarthy----------Tiatto----- -------Gradel---------Hughes-----Williams---------Porter----- -------------------------Fryatt------Humóóóós!-----------------
Tommeh Posted 29 September 2006 Posted 29 September 2006 Henderson Stearman ® Mcauley McCarthy Kenton (L) Hammond ® Williams Wesolowski Porter(L) Hume COG
