Elvis Is Frustrated

Recommended Posts

Does any one think me winning Five pounds on the Football Manager Quiz in the pub last night, the first time I have won anything higher than a quid on a quiz machine, says something about me as a person.

My My I'm in a random mood.

Elvis is neat.

It says 3 things to me

1) You're 5 pounds richer than me

2) You should be managing LCFC

3) Elvis Hammond is shit.

I've never seen a Football Manager Quiz, that sounds awesome.

Next time you are in the pub and on a quiz machine have a long hard look. It is very taxing but if you know your football you can win as much as the machine will allow.

I guess RK wouldn't win much on the said machine then??

Elvis is an absolute joke, his control is nowhere near the standard required to play even at this level and his shooting is a bit worse. It's great he can run at defenders and scare them with his pace, but really, he nothing more than just quick. fooking moaning about not playing - Elvis, it is because you are NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT ALL :@

Like I said earlier this week. I'd rather have 11 questionable footballers like Hammonds who give their all and ask questions than one Hughes who chugs here, chugs there and asks nothing.

Oooh ooh. Pick me, pick me!

I'm a questionable footballer, but I'd give me all, honest. :D

Get you and your crystal balls. :P

You may be a bit far away though...

I'm willing to relocate. If they put me in one of the academy digs and offer me on a pay-as-you-play, I'm game.

In fact, they could pay me less than an Academy player and I'd be in like a shot. :o

Just hope my seniority (age-wise) didn't keep out some of our up-and-coming youngsters, there'd be all hell to pay. :P

If you're over 20, no chance. :D:D:D

I take my hat off to Elvis, he has shown me that he is more than just a player who can run his socks off but be useless with the ball. He has scored and rescued us a point which didn't look likely. Will it happen again?? I doubt it :( ( so hopefully he'll prove me wrong again :D )

To drag this back into reality once more...

am I right in thinking that Elvis has played a strong part in the matches we have done well in this season....?

Reckon he cant score unless it a gimme but his pace must be worthy on the wing?

You didn't go to Hereford then. Elvis's goal there wasn't a gimme. It was bloody brilliant and he also slipped a proper pass through to Porter for his penalty.

Elvis is a bit clumsy on the ball and a bit head down in his style. But I've seen players like him before. Steve Heighway was the best, Frank Large was a lumbering version of the same thing in some ways...

I often talk of players having effect. It's not what Elvis doesn't do that's important. It's his two priceless qualities that can help us so much.

His speed is desperately needed. And he has the courage, strength and stamina to use it. That's means he's a constant danger in himself and, because he has to be watched, it means more space for others.

Hume is important for similar reasons but he's not quite so quick.

Kelly talks the talk but he doesn't walk the walk. He needs to play these people along with COG and Porter and he needs to build their confidence sky high. With young people there's no halfway house. Ask the army.

They appreciate youth. Because there's no-one they can make fitter, stronger, faster and no-one they can psyche up easier to believe they are invincible.

The psychology of football is important. That was demonstated yesterday when Birmingham became weaker in the closing minutes because they had mentally settled for one-nil.

It was a predictable window of opportunity for Leicester and they were aware enough to step through it. Psychologically Birmingham were suckered.

I'm not saying he should/shouldn't be in the line up.

It's just a sorry state to be in when the question even merits consideration.

I think this sums up my feelings on the matter also. He appears to create a goal threat which is more than can be said for O'Grady but it doesn't stop him being pathetic by our recent standards.

They'll all be creating goal threats when we scrap "The Shunter".

Goal or no goal, the bloke is still a **** for that whinging press article!

Yep, and he's still crap

The problem now is that because he got a goal from three yards out to salvage a point for us everyone will now think he was completely justified in what he said. Even more worrying some fans now think our goal scoring problem has been resolved as Elvis looks is business.

I did praise him for scoring a goal, as I should do naturally, 'cos we have a goal-scoring crisis atm. But I for one am under no illusions that Elvis is the answer to our problems. He does tend to look poor on the ball despite the effort he gives, and I really doubt his level of consistency as well.

As I've said elsewhere... the fact that we're even discussing whether Elvis should or should not be playing for us shows how far we have fallen.

It's also annoying that his childish outburst has been in some way vindicated. Unprofessional.
