from 2001 to 2003 i managed beaumont town u 17 / under 18 , we were highly succesful and not many sides would have achevied what we did at u 18 level , a few of my players have moved on to play at good levels . that stint as manager was 1 of my happiest memories of local football

I played for Anstey Nomads in the Senior League when I was 15. A guy called George Siddons was manager. It wasn't this century though!!!!!

Sunday's I played for a guest SOGAT team out of Loughborough and we won some national title at Tooting and Mitchum's ground in London. Shady Adcock (Loughborough United), Paul Mitchell (Hinckley Athletic) Alan Dawkins (Barrow Town), Alan Cripps (Barrow I think) and Pat Gallagher (Loughborough United) were all in the side which meant playing for them was a picnic.

I'm sure Alan Dawkins is still knocking around the football scene in some capacity.

I never played in Leicester as by that time I was a student and therefore incapable of physical exertion.

Otherwise I've played for a few local clubs down here...

Senacre Dolphins (class name huh?)

Larkfield

Considering an offer to play again locally in a Sunday league. My fitness leaves a huge amount to be desired though.

Newbold Coleorton Briefly and then Peggs Green (till they folded) in this county, & couple of teams up in Yorkshire. Not been fit enough to play 30 minutes never mind 90 for the past three years but have recently started to do something about that, hopefully will make my return to competitve action in the form of 5 a side at Hood park before Christmas.

Sparky, when did you play for Anstey Swifts? They were our biggest rivals when I was at New Parks and most of the Anstey team moved to Glenfield when I did.

That's a bit after my time mate. I played for New Parks, Ratby and Glenfield from between '87 until '93 I think.

Whitwick Town Mens Team in 1997, one substitute appearance at the age of 14 because only 9 players had turned up and i'd gone to watch them after being told about them by the treasurer (i delivered his Mercury!).

Ending up taking my boots cos it was a shitty field and as soon as they noticed that they told me to put a kit on and pretend my name was something else (for registration purposes!). I'd missed the first 30 minutes but played the remainder. Set up one goal and then put in the through ball for a lad who got tackled and won a penalty from it.

My one and only time in a proper match and a moment ill cherish forever lol! Still only 23, wish i was fit enough to play in a team now!

I've played for West End and Woodgate 80.

Was that in the UCL?

Did you play against Bourne Town?

My memory isn't what it was, but I'm pretty sure I didn't play against Bourne. I remember games at Raunds, Cook'noe and Desbro'...everything else just blends into one homogeneous game :D Age, huh?
