blue blood Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 I think the 1 area leicester need to focus their efforts is up front and in particular a 6Feet2 + striker that can head the ball (flicks and headed shots,) we have a degree of flexibility in all other areas but nobody to hit the ball to (I do love attractive footy bt to get out of this league a delicate balance of football and longball is required).......any thoughts or suggestions

Thracian Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 For free? Hang on a minute, I'll compile a list.... Finished. PS: Louis Dodds.
Leicester Lass Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 For free? Hang on a minute, I compile a list.... Finished. Are you forgetting that we have MDV
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 If we persist with wingers then we need someone to get on the end of crosses. If we concentrate on sorting the central midfield (say no to Johnson and Hughes, kids), then we should be fine with the strikers we've got. I don't think we need anyone else, we have enough players who have proven their ability imo. Just hope Kelly keeps picking them.
blue blood Posted 27 October 2006 Author Posted 27 October 2006 NO Why??? pretty football is all good and well but does not always win games sometimes you need an option on the bench to change a game going nowhere.....like england have with crouch, they can bring him on with 20 mins to go if pretty football is leading them up dead ends.......
blue blood Posted 27 October 2006 Author Posted 27 October 2006 Are you forgetting that we have MDV He cant head flicks or on goal.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 Straight swap MDV for Luke Varney I don't see Crewe agreeing to that somehow.
blue blood Posted 27 October 2006 Author Posted 27 October 2006 Straight swap MDV for Luke Varney Now we are talking. I dont think it will be too long before stearman goes (jan window) and then some money will be avail
Leicester Lass Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 He cant head flicks or on goal. He can, just not very well! :pinch:
blue blood Posted 27 October 2006 Author Posted 27 October 2006 He can, just not very well! :pinch: which means he cant!!

Leicester Lass Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 which means he cant!! There's no such word as can't, did your teachers never tell you that???
gatesheadfox Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 why not just andranio?? poor effort. don't like players with girls names
blue blood Posted 27 October 2006 Author Posted 27 October 2006 so do we not agree leicester should have more arrows for use with the bow...we need to have more than 1 way to attack
blue blood Posted 27 October 2006 Author Posted 27 October 2006 There's no such word as can't, did your teachers never tell you that??? "Those who CAN'T Teach." if you can you cant......there is always an opposite.
Ric Flair Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 I would quite like to see David Vaughan from Crewe, but we have no money so that's a silly suggestion.

Craig Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 As we don't have money for a new player, how about retraining a current (tall enough) defender into a striker? This is not football manager.
lookwhaticando Posted 27 October 2006 Posted 27 October 2006 As we don't have money for a new player, how about retraining a current (tall enough) defender into a striker? Gareth McAuley?
