Manwell Pablo Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Nothing at the moment. I used to play 5-a-side, cricket, tennis, badminton and go running, but that's all gone to pot. I stupidly committed myself to running a half-marathon in front of a room full of witnesses last weekend, but I've got to lose some weight before I can even start training. 4 years ago, I was 11.5st and fit as a butcher's dog. Now I'm..... 14.5st. If I start pounding the pavements carrying that with me, I'll have a coronary beofre I get to the end of my drive. So it's Dietsville, Arizona for me. Has to be done though. 14.5 stone isn't that bad I'm 14. Having said that im 6'1, It's all relative to your height isn't it. I used to exercise regularly and smoke instead of eat I too was thin once
cisono Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 THIS is how I envisage Cisono... Hmm she looks a bit like a guy. I don't think I do!!! That looks a bit like cisono actually. You have no idea
gatesheadfox Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 my exercise will be tonight, the worst night of the week when i make myself suffer for a couple of hours. i love playing football but i just don't have the lifestyle to manage comfortably for more than 2 minutes of a game

That is annoying. On the other hand... Please make sure you have good muscle tone in your legs at the very least. Don't risk injuries.

I like the fact that you specified things there for us Does the athlete bit refer to the whole picture or the last bit in particular

Thracian Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Golf three times a week is about it right now - and at 14.5 stones it hardly seems to be doing the job of keeping me sleek!
vanfox12 Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Golf three times a week is about it right now - and at 14.5 stones it hardly seems to be doing the job of keeping me sleek! Golf 3 times a week aye. I've got my own set of clubs but i haven't played a single round this year.
cisono Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Golf three times a week is about it right now - and at 14.5 stones it hardly seems to be doing the job of keeping me sleek! I am afraid that golf (in itself) does not guarantee a high enough level of fitness It seems to be more a case of people doing better at golf when they are fitter (physically and mentally). Where do you play, Thrac?

Wils Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 I completed a full 90 mins tonight, and im knackerd. Thats me for the week.
cisono Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 90 seconds exercise does not constitute a work-out. <_< I really am not convinced by magazine articles claiming that a 10-minute vigorous sex session burns 300 calories. (My body burns about 500 in 30 minutes of hard work on the cross-trainer... ) Or perhaps the people in question weigh 22 st or thereabout...

(My body burns about 500 in 30 minutes of hard work on the cross personal-trainer... ) Someone else (most probably that LookWICD) would have done it anyway.
cisono Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 Someone else (most probably that LookWICD) would have done it anyway. I didn't write personal trainer... Are you saying that the looker may have burnt 300 calories in 10 minutes on his personal trainer? Hmm perhaps... if she was a blonde Swede
Maybes Posted 14 November 2006 Posted 14 November 2006 I completed a full 90 mins tonight, and im knackerd. Thats me for the week. More than what I do mate. I really could do with going for a run once in a while.
Daggers Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 More than what I do mate. I really could do with going for a run once in a while. I don't understand running...it's all still going to be there if you catch a taxi.
Rincewind Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 I get my exercise by jumping out of my armchair when my pocket bullis are beaten by trip deuces on the river by a fish-like calling station.
Guest Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 I try to run 5 miles 3 times a week, then a big run on Sundays. If I wasn't at Uni, I'd be in the gym 4-5 times during the week instead. I have entered a marathon, and I am waiting to see if I've got in. If I have, I'm going to have to do something the days I'm at Uni.
