Nationwider Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 Is anyone else bored with all this now or just me? Yeah, I am. Makes me glad I decided not to folllow a path into journalism. Is it me, or are an increasing number of sports journalists just lazy, illiterate, fantasists with too much spare time on their hands?
FNQ Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 What exactly happens Saturday? Does the board make their recomendation to the shareholders? If so, surely they wont be expected to vote on it there and then? Has the recomendation already been made?
Milky Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 well slap my arse and call me zebedee. the fact is none of us know the facts
FNQ Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 Somebody change the topic title. It's just not true.
Milky Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 i'm starting to find all this speculating annoying. the majority of people are just saying the same thing but phrased slightly differently.
step Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 Its a load of balls. Look at the only facts they quote. They state MM has made an offer of £25 million for the club. We all know that is a load of crap. If that aint right none of it is
Louise Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 To clear this up, posted on foxfanzine by John Barber: Hi All,I hope I can clear this up for you all. The announcement made by Leicester City today was simply to inform shareholders formally that they are negotiating with someone about a takeover. The club HAVE to make a formal regulatory statement of the offer. There is effectiveley nothing new in all of this ... just the club satifiying the takerovers and mergers people. It doesn't mean that anything new has happened today, and you shouldn't read too much into it. Having said that, it certainly does look like the Manadaric bid is very close to getting the nod. If they can get guarentees about future financing and transfer budgets etc. then that will go to the shareholders on Saturday. The only other option they will be given is to undertake a huge Rights Issue to bring in a massive investment from the current shareholders. Keep an ear to the radio Saturday, and as soon as anything develops I'll let you know. I hope this helps. Cheers http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=8...ytoid=530750477

Jon the Hat Posted 16 November 2006 Posted 16 November 2006 i'm starting to find all this speculating annoying. the majority of people are just saying the same thing but phrased slightly differently. Don't be ridiculous, what we are dealing with here is alternate descriptions of similar opinions
