It doesn't actually say it's a different bid, more a confirmation that they are in takeover discussions and while the bidder is unknown MM is the frontrunner. What's new? Plus Teamtalk are now carrying the story, hardly a hotbed of breaking news!

I think this will turn out to be some leaked info from the club, that they are in 'early takeover talks'... the only person they can properly have these talks with is MM. .. . If it was another bid, then the info would say that it was another bid, and would not mention anything about takeover beacsue it is too early !!

davieG Posted 15 November 2006 Posted 15 November 2006 From Team Talk Leicester chief executive Tim Davies has confirmed the club are in "the very early stages" of talks which may lead to a possible takeover deal. Former Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric has already confirmed he has submitted a £25million bid to take control of the Championship club. An extraordinary general meeting is due to take place at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday, when the club's 48 shareholders will decide which bid they believe is the most suitable to take the club forward. The club said in a statement: "Following recent press speculation, the board announces that it is currently in very early stage discussions which may or may not lead to an offer being made for the company."

I dont think so. I think its the early stages of LCFC accepting the MM bid. Must have been leaked info from the club
