BartonFox Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Right seeing as we seems to have gone stat-tastic this week I got bored and looked at this little lot up (thank you football365). Our next 7 opponents - up to New Years Day - and their points over the last 8 games: Sheffield Wednesday (H) - 17 points (5w, 2d, 1l) Wolves (A) - 7 points (1w, 4d, 3l) Barnsley (H) - 8 points (3w, 0d, 5l) Cardiff (H) - 8 points (2w, 2d, 4l) Hull (A) - 8 points (2w, 2d, 4l) Southampton (A) - 14 points (4w, 2d, 2l) Sunderland (H) - 14 points (4w, 2d, 2l) LCFC - 6 points - 1 win, 3 draws and 4 losses Everyone of those teams has been better than us over the period, I hate to say it but if we take 4-5 points out of that lot we'll be lucky.
RowlattsFox Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 its hard to predict, i think we are capable of winning some of those but we are also likely to lose them aswell.

Daggers Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 its hard to predict, i think we are capable of winning some of those but we are also likely to lose them aswell. It depends on how the redoubled effort in training goes.
Dr The Singh Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 It depends on how the redoubled effort in training goes. I think the redoubled training is going to get redoubled!!
Daggers Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Its not going to be a good December. Christmas kisses Presents Fill your boots with booze Mandy is coming Rob is going New players in the New Year
Milky Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 those stats are pointless because by the time we get to play the last few teams they could have lost 3,4,5 on the trot.
OBO Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Not looking good at all I would seriously hope we can pick up points (3 please?!) against Barnsley, Hull and maybe Wolves. But nothing's ever a guarentee when you're a Leicester fan. Apart from frustration.
Daggers Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 I think the redoubled training is going to get redoubled!! Well, personally, I think a quadrupled effort in training should pay dividends. If it doesn't then I think we have to really start questioning Kelly's abilities.
Stuliasz Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 The stats don't make for good reading but they are only stats. This division is so unpredictable that we could beat anyone but anyone is also capable of beating us. It's just a matter of grinding out these results.

Barton you're being so cynical. Even with Rob Kelly in charge there is no reason we shouldn't take 12 points from that lot...at least that's what I would expect in his place.
Wils Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Christmas kisses Presents Fill your boots with booze Mandy is coming Rob is going New players in the New Year Its going to be fantastic. Thanks DB. Youve put it into a different perspective for me.

hebangsthedrums Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 It depends on how the redoubled effort in training goes. The amount of times training efforts have been redoubled I think that if they are doing 10-4 now they must have started the season doing 20 minutes on a wednesday.

I said that just after August. A Period of difficult away matches to WBA, Birmingham and Sunderland but we get two points out of them all. We seemed to have had a decent period against hard and in-form teams. Hopefully the same will happen in our next seven.
jumbo mills Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 ive got us with 5 points, surely if we lose to barnsley rk has to be sacked
lcfc_jme Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Any money we win 'em all. Not even going to take that seriously - you were bigging up Josh Low yesterday!!!! I don't like to be pessimistic, but I know that we're going to struggle in the set of games up until New Year's Day. We'll be lucky to get anything on Saturday based on how we've been playing lately and they ripped us apart at their 'gaff' Wolves away is always a tricky game for us. If I remember correctly, we went 3-0 up there before half time and eventually lost. A point there would be the only thing we could possibly hope for. Barnsley at home is a game we should win I'd say, but against teams we should beat we struggle an awful lot (Hull at home this season anyone?!?!) Cardiff are playing badly at the minute. Lost to Stoke yesterday. Not in the best form at all. Difference is, there's always bound to be a backlash when teams up the top of the league hit a mini-slump. I have the feeling we're the obvious target, and we could end up being humbled. Hull away is a real chance for us to get 3 points. They, like us, aren't very good, and so a win there could well be crucial. The stats seem to suggest that we're more than likely to score there, but our inability to defend properly could haunt us. Southampton away I see us losing. We were lucky to beat them here - two wonder strikes by Huuuuuume and a lucky-ish goal for Stears won us that game. We had a bit of passion and belief back then. This has all disappeared now. A defeat is likely. Sunderland at home. New Year's Day. A chance for the lads to make a New Year's Resolution - Do not lose points at home, apply ourselves correctly, kill teams off when we have the chances and play to our strengths. Likely? I think not. A defeat could well follow. If RK manages to conjure up 10 - 12 points, I will be absolutely gobsmacked. It will not however be enough to convince me he needs to stay. I think the clock is ticking on his tenure, and it's all but curtains for him.
Joe. Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 We do better against the big teams so I'm quite hopeful...
JoeyB Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 we can win all of those games no team in this league(world) is unbeatable coming back to reality i think we will win 3 out of 7
TheShrew Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Any money we win 'em all. I'm with you matey. I look forward to RK picking up manager of the month for December and spraying the cheap champagne in Hammonds face for scoring 8 goals during the month.
