Libertine Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 The guy's a ****ing genius. Of course. Did you not see him against Spurs FFS?!
Bert Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 I'd rather we signed Tricky Trev back for a nominal fee.
dandannieldanok Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 We may aswell bring him back, we have tried pretty much everything else.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 December 2006 Author Posted 2 December 2006 We can't. You have to believe! We can do it! Oh... you mean we're not allowed? Oh well, if we could then. I'd rather we signed Tricky Trev back for a nominal fee. I like the cut of your jib Robert. It's all about the Benjamin.
lildave3 Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 I think so, we need a big man up top and unless we sign a good one in january we will have to call Deep Freeze back.
lookwhaticando Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 I'd rather we signed Tricky Trev back for a nominal fee. If you want a donkey for a target man, I'd take Trev over MDV any day.
Mort Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 Might as well... though with the time he's spent on the bench this season, I doubt he's any fitter than either Fryatt or Dodds.
BartonFox Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 About a month later, but we are starting to catch on
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 December 2006 Author Posted 2 December 2006 About a month later, but we are starting to catch on It was just for you Barton.
Joe. Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 Yes, he can't be worse than what we have. I think he would score goals too.
Mark Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 Yes, he can't be worse than what we have. I think he would score goals too. 1 in his last 18 for us suggests otherwise. If the takeover goes to plan, Toderov on loan from Pompey when his loan finishes at Wigan in January will do just nicely.
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 Yes, he can't be worse than what we have. I think he would score goals too. Ah yes that line. I remember our search for a striker last January, and some of the things said on here. "It doesn't matter who it is they can't be worse than De Vries"
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 By the way De Vries has made 11 apperances in the Erdevisie, all from the bench, and scored no goals.
Joe. Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 But nobody else is scoring goals! the way we are playing at the moment suggests we need a big man because nobody up there other than Hume has a clue.
Manwell Pablo Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 Why not? Because we don't have a recall option as I understand it.
MC Prussian Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 But nobody else is scoring goals! the way we are playing at the moment suggests we need a big man because nobody up there other than Hume has a clue. Wrong. Rob Kelly's tactics are part of the problem, as he lets our current strikers run for high-air balls. You can't win a game with tactics that are not appropriate to the player's capabilities. Hume, Fryatt, Hammond... They're all asking for a proper pass-play, no long-balls that defenders can easily take off them. Why Kelly's been using the same abysmal system without noticing its lack of success is beyond my knowledge...
filbertway Posted 2 December 2006 Posted 2 December 2006 But nobody else is scoring goals! the way we are playing at the moment suggests we need a big man because nobody up there other than Hume has a clue. Yeh and de vries does. It makes me laugh people saying they would have de vries back, he is a shocking footballer, and I would never want to see him play for us again.
Deathside Posted 3 December 2006 Posted 3 December 2006 Would you recall de Vries? Yes - I can just about recall MDV
