Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Bunch of fu ckwits surely? Wonder which overrated foreign supremo the new owner has lined up...? Magnus Magnusson. Surely!
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 he's gone! linkage Plain stupid. Hope they go down now, a trip to Wembley and the return of European football and some dickhead from Iceland waltzes in and sacks him. I'd be weary about him being in charge here though. He struggled to get West Ham out of this division and they had money. Still if Kelly goes I suppouse he's one of the better options.
hebangsthedrums Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I think Pardew is a cock. I remember me and my dad going to Reading away the year we went up. The game was cancelled at half time when both captains and Mickeh said they were happy to continue. He bitched cos we were getting on top and that was that £70 down the toilet and no partial refund/discount on rearranged fixture. Bastard. Plus just to be the opposite pole to Ric I really detest West Ham and all their mockney fans.
bold_fox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I think that we are an attractive club to managers at the min. We hopefully have the backing of a good investor, have a strong support. Would be great to get him here. I understand that he is one hell of a coach on the training pitch.
Onion Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I dont want to see Pardew at Leicester, I think if everything goes to plan with MM we should aim higher.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I like West Ham, always have for some reason. My favourite club from London. I like Pardew aswell, a decent bloke who likes to play proper football. I know everyone will jump on the bandwagon now, but if there is the smallest of small chances of getting Pardew here then i'd be as happy as humanly possible given the likely potential managers we could attract. It's all about timing though. Pardew might want some time off, but if he doesn't and we are the best club available (hopefully with some cash) then perhaps he'd been intrigued to give it a go in the midlands. We've got a manager Ric, I don't paticularly want to be a club that ditches their manager just because they thinks theres a chance they will get one who is suppousidly better, which IMO is exactly what West Ham have done.
bold_fox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I dont want to see Pardew at Leicester, I think if everything goes to plan with MM we should aim higher. example ?
mancunianfox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Get him in! Big mistake by West Ham. Its the nature of football that sometimes your up and sometimes your down. I think with time he would have sorted it out, even if he was playing a poor goalkeeper.

West ham have 'ditched' there manager because the team hasn't had the results, and at the end of it all, Pardew is the man to blame. I feel the circumstances at the club haven't helped though. But i also agree with you i think about RK. What about getting pardew in as manager, and RK as assistant, or just on the coaching side.

That's going to happen though Manwell. Mandaric won't keep Kelly unless we have an obscene run over christmas, the likelyhood of that?. There are a few decent managers out of work at present and MM may well take the opportunity to get one of them, infact i'm pretty sure he will.

bold_fox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Won't happen. Be nice though. Keep both parties happy. Be a fantastic start to the MM era if he did this.

Thats your opinion, mine is that they've sacked him so they can appoint Curbs. RK wont take a step down to Assistant manager.

I was thinking that, but i'd look at what he's done since and before that particular season and he's just the sort of manager we need here. I think he'd want a better placed club than ours though.
mancunianfox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I dont want to see Pardew at Leicester, I think if everything goes to plan with MM we should aim higher. For fox sake get real!!! Who do you think we should get, Capello? Pardew won the playoff final and nearly won the FA cup in the same season as establishing a newly promoted team in the Premiership. That is some achievement and we (a struggling championship side) would be hard pushed to aim higher than that. That is as impressive as MON imho.
Master Fox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I think we can do better than Pardew for a new manager. He's damaged goods a bit like Dowie
Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Thing is though, he ultimately did a good job at Reading and a good job at West Ham. Whilst he may have struggled a bit to get them up, he got them up, and he got them playing nice football. To be honest, I'd take the nice football, and see if we can work on the getting up part from there.
mancunianfox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I think we can do better than Pardew for a new manager. He's damaged goods a bit like Dowie Most managers have failed somewhere along the lines. MON was 'damaged goods' too. He failed at Norwich. Besides, neither Dowie nor Pardew were given enough time to turn things around. They're hardly as damaged as Taylor.
Thracian Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I'd be in the Ric and Ricey camp. I think Pardew might bring the right sort of football to Leicester.
Kilworthfox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I think we can do better than Pardew for a new manager. He's damaged goods a bit like Dowie you could have said that about Holloway when he was linked with us, now look what he's done at plymouth.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I'd be in the Ric and Ricey camp. I think Pardew might bring the right sort of football to Leicester. He'd bring you kind of football to Leicester if thats what you mean. He'll need money to implement it properly.
breadandcheese Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I hope West Ham get Sven. That would make my day. There's quite a good few managers floating about at the moment. I'd be happy with Dowie or Pardew. Both good managers in my book, just not given time. Edit: Not that I'm suggesting Kelly should go. Prove me wrong Rob, prove me wrong.
Craig Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Pardew at Leicester. Merry Christmas. That's all there is to say on the matter. It'd be fantastic, the job he did at Reading, fantastic, the job he did at West Ham until he had his hand forced, fantastic again.
Wils Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 This is Madness. West Ham think there bigger than they are,hes done a great job there and he still could have done. There new owner said only last week he was 100% behind the manager.
