Team for Southampton

The team is finally playing well but I think the time is right to ring some changes.

Henderson

Stearman, McCarthy, McAuley, Nisse

Hughes, Williams, Tiatto, Porter

Fryatt, Hammond

Logan, Kisnorbo, Hume, Dodds, Wesolowski

Bizarre!

Yes, wake up to reality. Players do tire! Keep a tired Hume in the team under performing, when Fryatt seems to be in for a chance. By all means keep the same team, but then let the consequences come at you. Having valid alternatives go for them!

I'd even get Logan in, to discipline Hendo for punching so much

Posted

i possibly think keep the same defence and midfield but swap hendo with logan and fryatt with huuuuuuuume

because hendo was a bit shakey on his kicking and catching yesterday

and hume looks tired and not at his best and fryatt is looking better so it might be worth swapping those to around

Why would the captain go from the starting line up to the bench lol

I think if you have a good thing, don't stuff it up... but I do agree maybe some of the bench deserve a starting run... they helped the game against Hull, maybe they could help us earlier against Southhampton... ;)

swap hammond for hume. hume hasn;t scored for 8 games now and doesn't look like scoring either. put him on the bench and give him a rest.

hume looked tired yesterday, hammond and fryatt should start if they are fit enough. i'd keep the defence the same, probably drop henderson as i am too young to have a heart attack which he will no doubt give me with his feckin inability to catch anything, his kicking isn't too great either

We still don't have a right winger. We make do. Ronaldo's scored 10 goals from the right wing this season for Manchester United. Have we scored any?

It is a major weakness.

Henderson;

Maybury, McAuley, Kisnorbo, Nils;

King, Williams, Tiatto;

Hammond, Hume, Porter.

Subs: Logan. Stearman, Wesolowski, Hughes, Fryatt.

Why this 4-3-3 should be a problem I don't know because Hughes doesn't play right wing and King is a much more versatile and dangerous footballer than Hughes.

His style would also help Hammond enormously.

I think this looks promising because this can go into a 4-5-1 quite easily when were defending.

its simply kelly is too scared cus 1 loss and the fans want him out, a few wins, like lately, then they start thinking they can choose the team to make it more! im not against you personally cus i think that your chosen team is fantastic and what i would choose(why i replied to yours) but kelly is playing it safe at the moment, which usually i would be annoyed with, but with the takeover still looming then hes not gonna want to start going all out all the time, personally i think there isnt much more he can do with the team but building the team mentality that they can WIN games and can climb the table as a team doing all the things a team should (attack together, defend together and believe together), before the buying of players maybe better. but hey thats just my opinion lol:P

The team is doing well, so change the team?????

If it ain't broken don't fix it!

The Spitfire was always a good aircraft but it was modified scores of times during the War and if it hadn't been it would soon have been second best.

Any manager who stops improving his team, and giving experience to players he will need as replacements, is an idiot.

It's time this club thought one step ahead instead of one step behind all the time.

It's no use being forced to make changes because of injuries/sendings off etc only to find we've no-one fit enough or with the necessary experience to cope.

We should never lose sight of the bigger picture.

Hume for Hughes

Played a lot of games for Tranmere on the right, tends to sit too deep naturally for a striker.

As a left back I would rather Hughes running at me than Hume

Too good to leave out

dispite the fact he is clearly tired and playing way below his best, a game or 2 on the bench maybe just what he needs

He got the Rob Kelly coaching manual for Christmas.

well that's bullshit. Kelly has always expressed his desire to not make many changes.

Are you still pissed?????

How the hell can you justify dropping Kisnorbo and Maybury, more so Kisnorbo for the woefully inept Paddy McCarthey?

You Sir are havein' a laugh.

Agree. You can't drop Paddy Kisnorbo at the moment.

I'd still like to see:

Logan

McAuley

Kisnorbo

Nisse

Stearman

King/Hughes

Weso

Williams

Porter

Hume

Fryatt

Bench: McCarthy, Hendo, Tiatto, Hammondo, King/Hughes

The captain is already on the bench.

Kisnorbo, stand-in captain, has done nothing to warrant being dropped - so you're right, it makes no sense! :P

I'd consider giving Weso a starting position rather than a sub appearance... but I wouldn't tamper much with the team as it is. Hume for Fryatt? Perhaps... Hume's played a lot of games and just isn't scoring at the minute. The last time he had a break for a few games, he came back and scored... ;)

I'd be happy to see:

Henderson

Maybury

McAuley

Kisnorbo

Johansson

Hughes

Williams

Tiatto (Wesolowski)

Porter

Hume

Hammond

Bench: Logan, McCarthy, Stearman, Wesolowski (Tiatto), Fryatt
