Guest Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Great, it's a good job I don't want to use my annual leave on things like holidays abroad, or chillaxing days with friends and family.....
Teeno Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Pissed of with that, don't they give a shit about us fans?
Ricey Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Pissed of with that, don't they give a shit about us fans? 54136[/snapback] Why would they worry about that? They are a buissness not a service.

It's great for those of you that don't go regularly, but for us that do it's a #### pain.

Wellman Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Thats a proper bummy for me. Would of been 1 of a few away games i could of got to!!! O well lets see
alex Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 I have to say I'm gutted too, being based down in London I normally cannot wait for the southern fixtures, but now blue army won't travel in thousands I reckon, the atmosphere will be stifled and frankly, that pisses me right orf...
Muz Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 im defo not now , Nottingham to upton park bout 3 hours on a Friday night me thinks not
Anish Posted 12 January 2005 Posted 12 January 2005 Absolutely disgusting. I was looking forward to going to Upton Park and it would have been a good break for a weekend going to London. Now I'm going to have to use one of my holidays off work to go to the game, which I don't like one bit.
Scow Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 Looks like I won't be able to go now as I work on Fridays.
Cobbo Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 Now now, those who pay for Sky cannot complain I am afraid I on the other hand will say this: Murdoch, you are a ####, I hate you.

As for paying for Murdoch TV, we want to have a digital service, but our reception is too poor for freeview, and there is no cable in our area. We begrudgingly pay for it, and we are not happy about it either.
Ric Flair Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 You lot always moan about Sky. What's the problem? Moan, moan, moan, moan, ****in moan. Granted, if you go to every game and this really pisses things up for you but again the money Sky brings in for this club is crucial. To a fan going to the games, that doesn't matter, you don't benefit from it but Sky has been televising games for years now and it's not as if this bombshell has been dropped on you suddenly. I suppose you'll still be moaning about Boxing Day matches not being played against local opposition. Pfft

Well the overpaid part is a direct result of the Sky deals. Football is not benefitting from the Sky money, players are (some) and their agents. The fans aren't with high prices, fixture changes etc, the clubs aren't (well the majority) with so many near bankruptcy or struggling to exist and grass roots football isn't either. I don't see the Sky money being crucial for anything other than paying these over inflated salaries I for one would be glad to see the bubble burst and for players to earn realistic wages with agents disappearing from the game and fans to be treated with more respect. Yes and I do still moan about Boxing Day matches not being played against local opposition, the lack of 3.00 Saturday kick-offs, the over commercialism which is for one thing only to pay players, many of them sub-standard their over inflated wages which feed their over inflated egos But I feel a little better now

It's gonna be well hard for a lot of us to go and if the support is low it will effect the team. And as for Boxing day, I think its a #### disgrace that games on played pon that day when there is no public transport available.
Guest Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 As a travelling supporter, it doesn't matter how much notice you get, moving convenient weekend matches to a Friday or Monday night (depending on which league you're in) is a pain in the arse. Those of us who go to the game will be using holiday to do so, we've already got Watford away on the Tuesday night of the same week! On top of that, there's transport etc. It's a wonder there's people as stupid as me going to these games! Then all the armchair fans moan that these games have little atmosphere!! As Davie says, it's money that's being used to line pockets, and isn't doing anything good for the game as a whole. I'm angry now!!

Would have made more sense to have a local derby or something on a friday or a sunday.

Its is if they all sit around a table eating bannanas rather than discussing scenarios which woukld make everyones life easier. Local boxing day matches would be such an easy thing to implement and would make everyones life sooooo much easier...but no... If the FA got there way we would play Sydney Utd and we would have to hop there with a fridge attached to us

And I love Leicester's away games being shown on Sky when i'm not travelling away. Shame on me
Ash Posted 13 January 2005 Posted 13 January 2005 I hate friday night matches, wish they wouldn't of changed it !
