I think we all do.

I'm not usually an emotional type of guy but I feel really down, he was a father and a husband like myself, and I can only imagine what they must be going through, it's a great tragedy, all this emotion for a guy I never actually physically met but talked about many things I would never talk to other people.

It shows that friendship's can be made in many ways!!

I may be working that night but I will raise a glass to him with a before work drink. I'm not sure if I ever met Janx but from what I've read in his posts I'm sure he would appreciate the booze up in his name. Through the sadness and tears raise a smile and give a verse or two of When You're Smiling.for him.

Even though i dont post on here much nowadays, i still remember the legend that is Janx! We even shared the same birthday! Such a lovely bubbly guy who knew how to live life and i will certainly attend. Rest In Peace

As will I, still trying to think of something suitable to post in the other thread. Shocking news.
If someone's already said it, quote them. I won't delete it.

Thats the problem, what other people have said doesn't seem like enough. Thats not a shot at all of you it's just that words on forum will never do the bloke justice.

Even now I've started this paragraph three times, stopped and deleted it. It's odd, I've never met him and feels strange to feel as gutted as I do about someone I've never met in person, but he was a real charchter, a credit to this forum, a credit to Leicester City, and his family.

I've just spent five minutes looking at monitor trying to find the words and they're not coming. Shocked and gutted.

In a way mate, that stands as it's own testimonial. I think if we were all true to ourselves, no one really could find the words. Janx simply was a great man and I, for one, am gutted that he's gone. We all though feel most for his family.... and just let our thoughts be with them right now.

There are no words Manwell... don't force it, but we know. We know the way you feel.

Rob and I will be there. I have no words to express how this has made us both feel. A top man, great fun to be with, we have some great memories. :(

I guess whether you knew Janx personally or via exchanging views on here, everyone is going to have been touched by this. He was a young man, with a family - one minute he was posting on here and the next.... it does make you think about your own mortality and how this could quite easily have happened to any of us.

Personally, Janx wasn't that much older than me and had a child a similar age to mine, there but for the grace of God and all that. It's so unbelievably sad, I hope there will be a lot of people out after the Cov game to raise a glass in his memory.

After seeing all the tribute posts and quotes I am feeling a little guilty about not attending. Maybe a special tribute night could be arranged with his family's permission of course. That is, hire a room for the night. Free ones are available. Then people could get up to pay personal tribute either in their own words or by quoting Janx's as it has been done on here. This would be different to the piss-up tribute as it would be more private.

I attended something similar a few years back for a poet/tutor.

If my work situation, which is a bit shitty at the mo, changes I may be there.
