Manwell Pablo Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 Come on then, who'd you play, how'd you think we're going to get on, how many goals is David Villa going to score past us. Is Robinson ever going to lose the 2 stone required to be a decent keeper at this level?
Geo V Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 Come on then, who'd you play, how'd you think we're going to get on, how many goals is David Villa going to score past us. Is Robinson ever going to lose the 2 stone required to be a decent keeper at this level? Robinson is over-rated but we have huge problems in this country of making brave sporting decisions and just keep faith with the same old ropey players who dont deliver. BTW at both Maccarone and now Danny Mills having ago at McClaren recently. What a world class coach we have From whats available I think he`ll start with... ROBINSON GARY NEVILLE (should be Richards but he wont be dropped) FERDINAND TERRY BRIDGE LENNON GERRARD LAMPARD CARRICK ROONEY CROUCH I`d have half of them out of my best 11 but I think theres a good chance that they will start but I expect shite loads of changes.

I really don't get this, Gary Neville is the one of the only players to play consistenly well over the past few years at both club and international level, and some of you want to drop him for a inconsistent teenager who spits the dummy more than Rooney.

David Villa won't get a sniff, McClaren will play a cautious system, it will be a game with very few chances!!!
Geo V Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 BTW Ive gone off friendlies as they mean nothing, not even bragging rights. I hope Spain stuff us playing some great football so we can have a rethink and start playing care-free football. ENGLAND 1-6 SPAIN

RowlattsFox Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 robinson neville woodgate ferdinand bridge lennon gerrard © carrick barry rooney defoe i dont think terry will play. lampard will probably play instead of lennon or barry but i i would give barry a go and see what he can do.
Leonisco Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 I'd like to see Gerrard and Carrick start in centre-mid, but I doubt Smiler's got the bollocks to drop Fat Frank. Woodgate should also start if JT isn't fully fit.

dandannieldanok Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 This will be very boring I predict, 0-0 or 1-1. Hopefully I will be wrong.
Turtles Head Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 Id love to see us get battered. Then maybe mclaren will start doing his job
foxchop Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 Put Joey Barton on probably get sent off after 10 minutes but it would give the other players something to put in their next book

Simi Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 Walker Curtis Heath Howey Rogers Stewart Scimeca Scowcroft Bent Ferdinand Tommy Wright What a side. Was Junoir Lewis not fit ?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 What a side. Was Junoir Lewis not fit ? He's opted to play for Asda instead.
Joe. Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 It's going to be a shocker of a game just like the last time we played them which was possibly the worst game I have ever seen in my life. As long as we play well under McLaren for once and he picks a sensible team I don;t mind what happens. Going to watch the under-21's tomorrow which should be interesting

RowlattsFox Posted 5 February 2007 Posted 5 February 2007 kirkland withdrawn as well now. on a side note, what do people think of the under 21 side? i think its very strong, quite a few of them are established premier league players. carson hoyte taylor davies baines bentley reo-coker huddlestone milner nugent young then the likes of walcott, lita, agbonlahor, richardson also in squad in theres probably other players that have withdrawn or are injured. does the future look bright?

But how many of them can you see breaking into the first team? Maybe Carson Maybe Davies Maybe Huddlestone Walcott for sure
Tommeh Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 Been really impressed with Huddlestone this eason and he has a bright future ahead of him, however on sunday he was taught a footballing lesson and was outclassed by a little ginger maestro called Paul Scholes. I wish he still played for us Our CM will no way be able to cope with their of Alonso and Fabregas, two absolute gems. Unless Captain Steve and Joey Barton get in their and ruffle a few feathers, would like to see Lennon get at Spains LB pernia who looked shite at The WC, also Rio v Torres should be an interesting one but I think Villa will pose the biggest threat as he likes to drop off Torres and without Hargreaves I'm not sure who would pick him up with Rio and Woodgate having their hands full with torres.
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 February 2007 Author Posted 6 February 2007 But how many of them can you see breaking into the first team? Maybe Carson Maybe Davies Maybe Huddlestone Walcott for sure Huddlestone looks really good this season so has Hoyte in patches. Milner has been putting in some very classy performances for Newcastle, TBH all of them are good players. Thats one of the strongest Under 21 sides we've had in a long while and it all bodes well for the future. Just a shame about McLaren.
