Manwell Pablo Posted 6 February 2007 Author Posted 6 February 2007 I know I'm probabley the only one that cares but has anyone seen the Spain team yet?
Geo V Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 why isnt barry at left back? i dont mind dyer playing left mid aslong as their is a natural left footed left back who can provide the width. Typical clueless McClaren. I saw the press conference and he said if and when Barry plays he will play him in his correct position, LM. He then went on to say that he is trying things and is playing a 442 (thats new ) but with Lampard, the most succesful goalscoring CM in England this season on the left and yes wait for it, Phil Neville at Left-back FFS!! Clueless bugger! BTW Lennon and Rooney arent fit.

WAYNE Rooney has pulled out of the England squad after suffering from the common injury known as Fergietightass. The injury occurs almost undetected after the last game before international week (or during, when you’re 3-0 up) and amazingly disappears in exactly a week. Fortunately for Rooney, he can seek help from team mate Ryan Giggs who has had Fergietightass so long that he has only played for Wales 59 times despite making his debut 16 years ago.

I dmit that Fergie has some kind of hold on his players when it comes to International games. I can remember watching an interview with Kenny Dalglish who was saying that Liverpool used to do the same thing when he was playing and the like sof Alan Hansen, Gary Gillespie, Ian Rush, himself amongst many others would develop "fevers" leading up to friendly internationals, especially those that involved all British matches. Im just delighted that Mac is trying something different as he put it
Thracian Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 It's going to be a shocker of a game just like the last time we played them which was possibly the worst game I have ever seen in my life. As long as we play well under McLaren for once and he picks a sensible team I don;t mind what happens. Going to watch the under-21's tomorrow which should be interesting If you're wearin a Leicester hat I'll wave to you.
foxchop Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 Been really impressed with Huddlestone this eason and he has a bright future ahead of him, however on sunday he was taught a footballing lesson and was outclassed by a little ginger maestro called Paul Scholes. I wish he still played for us Our CM will no way be able to cope with their of Alonso and Fabregas, two absolute gems. Unless Captain Steve and Joey Barton get in their and ruffle a few feathers, would like to see Lennon get at Spains LB pernia who looked shite at The WC, also Rio v Torres should be an interesting one but I think Villa will pose the biggest threat as he likes to drop off Torres and without Hargreaves I'm not sure who would pick him up with Rio and Woodgate having their hands full with torres. Spurs must be putting something in Huddlestones cornflakes he's huge it works for him shame it can't be said for Robinson
samingram_uk Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 im going wooo first ever england game COME ON!!
dekus41 Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 What a week !!!! I just discovered we need a new Leicester manager and now we need a new England manager...no wonder I can't sleep

I thought exactly the same . McLaren said he wont quite make Wednesday but had it been Thursday he would of . Therefore he shall be fit for Saturday

Very decent side there. Let's just hope it can be attacking game and a few goals and not a boring friendly.
RowlattsFox Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 im surprised neither alonso or fabregas are playing.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 Every England friendly since the dawn of time has ended 1-1.
lildave3 Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 Under 21's are 2-0 down at half time. Joe. has just text me saying it's worse than watching City!

lildave3 Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 Plus its at Pride Park.. Can't be good. Well, the Derby fans are used to seeing just 1 goal with 5 minutes left, they'll be loving it!
Simi Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 Well, the Derby fans are used to seeing just 1 goal with 5 minutes left, they'll be loving it! Hopefully he has his Leicester shirt on Can't see us getting back into this. Looked a fairly poor match from what I saw. Pearce out Edit : 2-1 Come on England. No doubt Pearce gave them the good old hairdryer treatment.

Geo V Posted 6 February 2007 Posted 6 February 2007 2-2 Lita I think. Once again an England team with quality everywhere plays out another weird disjointed game, and this was just the kids! Loads of Premiership experience but we cant play a decent system.
