lildave3 Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 I've noticed that we don't sing about 'Leicester' anymore, it's eaither abusing the away team or chanting Hume.....that's about it. At Filbert Street we'd always sing 'C'mon Leicester' everytime we got a corner or free-kick.....now it's just a few claps. We do in N Block now, and most of the songs are about Leicester aswell.
Pub breath Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 This is very simple, you said Leeds fans were no worse than any other club. The stats show you are. Thanks for visiting. Is there something wrong with your brain? So you really believe that 80 people are representative of tens of thousands of people. I'm glad the whole world doesn't think like you or we'd be in an even bigger mess than we are now. P.S - You're welcome, enjoyed my stay and the famouse East Midlands hospitality that you've given me
The People's Hero Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 Shut the door on your way out. (of the division).

All statistics are relative, you have more arrests than most clubs even if it is vey few. It's all very, very simple.

STUHILL Posted 15 March 2007 Posted 15 March 2007 I wouldn't want to post on other teams forums if i was a Leeds fan right now! Must be so embarrassing!! A big club like that, ohhhhhhhh the shame!

I mean, if we're going to take this tiny minority as an example, Leeds and Leicester stats are almost parallel until you reach one section - alcohol related offences. So we can conclude, given that most arrest are at home matches, the either Leeds fans enjoy a tipple more than our CCC counterparts or West Yorkshire Police are a little over-zealous when dealing with piss-heads. Either way, it hardly fits your lot's perception that we're all hooligan scum. 30 odd more pissed-up lads than Leicester each year, that really makes a mockery of this whole discussion.

We're men, men with broad shoulders. As I mentioned back in the thread, you guys couldn't throw anything at us that can hurt anything like the last five years has hurt. You grow used to it and then grow bored of it. I'd rather save my energy for doing my bit ont' "terraces" lad.

Would just have to get used to more stick from mates! I was just shocked at how bad Leeds were, even with the 100 loan signings you've made! You have to get rid of Wise!!

You had 115 banning orders on supporters (highest in the league) we had 44 63 football related arrests (4th behind the scum at the bottom of the M69 and the inbreds in sheffield) to our 41 And the other stats you've also said you have 30 more general arrests than us (think has more to do with inabilty to hold drink than amount drunk tbh) West Yorkshire police don't seem to arrest quite so many Hudds or Bradford fans, strange.
Daggers Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 <<facts>> You damn fool - you aren't factoring in the Leeds 'chiponshoulder'. It's like the chips you find on Man United supporters shoulders only with more mushy pea, mint sauce and Tetley stains. Once you do that you see that the Police actually treat Leeds fans 13% worse, pick on them 52% more often and are 73% more unfair in their dealings with them.

Tetley!? drinking anything besides Yorkshire tea up there is against the law. Actually maybe thats why so many Leeds fans get arrested actually .

Yeah. Equally if Mansfield Town get 8,000 fans arrested, they'd be far worse than Stoke/Millwall/Leeds/Cardiff. If if if if if if if. The facts are there, let's consider them. The facts are the facts... that's what I base my conclusion on... I don't base them on 'if the facts were completely different....' - it's a futile exercise.

And I see his point but it still doesn't change the facts, Leeds fans are worst than most according to the stats end of!
Daggers Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 Yeah. Equally if Mansfield Town get 8,000 fans arrested... Don't forget those bastards in Torquay...just because no one has been arrested yet doesn't mean it isn't about to kick off sometime soon. I'll bet there's simply legions of Torquay OAP's ready to make stadia seats across the country reek of stale urine - then it'll all kick off.
Daggers Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 Don't forget those bastards in Torquay... I agree

I don't base them on 'if the facts were completely different....' - it's a futile exercise. i was not meaning to imply that this was likely ; just that it takes very little changes to alter the statistics that some posters keep using as proof that leeds fans are in some way unique ( or at least at the upper edge of acceptability) with the behaviour of their fans; for the most part the only difference i have seen is that they are far more vociferous than we are ( not difficult) and maybe appear more thuggish because of this

I wasn't at the game but i've seen us be shocking on countless occaisions this season. I'm starting to come round to your way of thinking with Wise....
Daggers Posted 15 March 2007 Author Posted 15 March 2007 When are people going to address the Torquay Menace? I think they should be thrown out of the Football League. Moo.

We're never going to agree on this. I'm defending the club I love and you're a Leicester fan. I'll agree to disagree and end my involvement in a very silly discussion.
