BartonFox Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 :appl: :appl: When you hear the noise of the Tartan Army boys, we'll be coming down the the road
Webbo Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 lets just ignore this thread and pretend we're not interested.
Bert Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 Still a long way to go mate, fair play to how well you're doing so far. But when we draw you in the group stages, then we'll see who's clapping!

Brainy Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 i dont think i would want to play them atm Neither would I. Smaller teams always raise their game when a bigger team comes over to play

Tevez Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 Scotland will lose. Scotland till i die!!! Euro 2008 here we come
lcfc_jme Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 Scotland till i die!!! Euro 2008 here we come Oh fooking hell not you again. Scotland will go to Euro 2008 and choke on the big stage. I believe Republic of Ireland beat Wales today as well?
lildave3 Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 I believe Republic of Ireland beat Wales today as well? Well if you're going to throw your heritage in the mix, i might aswell do the same. Come on you Scots
Tubes Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 Well if you're going to throw your heritage in the mix, i might aswell do the same. Come on you Scots ok then fiji
Milky Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 They say you can't polish a turd, but looking at scotland at the mo i'm beginning to question this. Italy will beat them on wed, and then the wheels will come off.
Finnegan Posted 24 March 2007 Posted 24 March 2007 Don't get me wrong, I quite like Scotland and I'd like to see them do well. But you JUST beat Georgia and you're proud? Come on lads, what? I'd be worried. You might be heading the group at the moment but I still can't see you getting out of it. Maybe I'm just bitter, we're out, again. What a surprise. I'm still optimistic for the future, the likes of Ledley, Nyatanga, Bale, Price, Parry, Cotterill and co could be great. But Toshack's just inept, tbh. Italy will beat them on wed, and then the wheels will come off. Agreed, sadly. They're in EXACTLY the same position we were in about four years ago before OUR trip to the San Siro. We were top of the group, we'd beaten the likes of Italy and that at home. We went to the San Siro, got battered four nil and I'll probably be telling my grandchildren in years to come that I STILL don't know how we didn't qualify.
Manwell Pablo Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 :appl: :appl: When you hear the noise of the Tartan Army boys, we'll be coming down the the road I'll give you the credit that you deserve. Seeing as I'm not bitter and twisted (aka Scottish) Amazing what you can do when you don't have a absloute retard in charge of your team isn't it?

We did JUST beat Georgia, but so what France just beat Lithuania yesterday as well, means nowt. I am proud anytime Scotland win especially when they don't play well but stick to the task for the whole game and eek out what was needed. We haven't been doing that for almost 6 years so it's nice to be back. We may well lose to Italy on Wednesday, but I think we can take a point. In the WC qualifiers last time we lost 2-0 at the San Siro thanks to 2 wonder strikes from Pirlo but Kenny Miller also missed 3 great chances. We also took a point at home when they equalised late on as well. Fours years ago we finished runners up to Germany in our Euro group before losing to Holland over 2 legs after Berti Vogts thought Gavin Rae would be an ideal holding midfielder in the second leg Heard from a mate in Dubl;in yesterday that Wales very "f'ckn dog shite" What is the big myth surrounding Toshack that make the FAW kiss his fat arse?
Stevosevic Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 we could knock them out in the play-offs again, i'm up for that.
Finnegan Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 He's tactically inept, really is. We're defensive, boring and uninspired. Which is bad because our defensive players are toss, we've got some great attack minded talen coming through and some already established. Problem is, Toshack's doing a good job bleeding in the youngsters which is something the FWA like. So. Shrug, I dunno mate. He'll be around a while long I think, shame.
Milky Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 we could knock them out in the play-offs again, i'm up for that. There aren't any play-offs this time i thought. It's the top two in each group automatic is it not?
Stevosevic Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 There aren't any play-offs this time i thought. It's the top two in each group automatic is it not? oh, i didnt know it had changed, quite an easy year to qualify then. i'm sure the small nations such as Wales, Scotland etc... will still somehow f**k it up.
act smiley Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 Toshack should have been left in 1986 as he's managed to take a decent if not that good side and dismantle it unbelievably. Duffy at right-wing-back is the most disgustingly inept player I've ever seen live - he should have been shot and Toshack should have been shot for putting him there. Wales desperately need something else. Fire him now and try someone like Speed until the end of the qualifiers just as a test, or flash the cash and bring in Coleman. Either way, he's hopeless. No proper defensive organisation, a useless system with players that don't fit, a team thats afraid of the box, falling out with some very useful players, its ridiculous. England are shite and would do better with a text-in vote for the tactics and squad than that ginger muppet and Ireland aren't that much better and Northern Ireland are tough to beat but probably isn't going to be enough. Scotland are decent though, but I dunno if they'll be able to keep it up - there are better teams in their group and if they slip up the chances are they'll not be able to catch up.

act smiley Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 No, I'm suggesting Wales are, but from the looks of things Steve's trying to win that "award"...
Finnegan Posted 25 March 2007 Posted 25 March 2007 oh, i didnt know it had changed, quite an easy year to qualify then. i'm sure the small nations such as Wales, Scotland etc... will still somehow f**k it up. Sorry, what? We've got the Czech Republic and Germany in our group. YOU wouldn't get out of our group on your current form, let alone us. Now I don't mind admitting our football team is toss. I can even stomach admitting you're leagues ahead of us. But watch where you throw your stones, that's a very glacial house you're stood in. No, I'm suggesting Wales are, but from the looks of things Steve's trying to win that "award"... Narh, even under Toshack we're better than N.I. I agree with the rest of what you said, mind.
BartonFox Posted 25 March 2007 Author Posted 25 March 2007 your suggesting England are the weakest team in the UK? oh dear. Well the last time you played Northern Ireland you lost and the last time you played Scotland you lost Not as good or as big as you might think you are
